Magnificent.....Congratulations~
BRAVO CONGRATULATIONS. A man after my own heart
Bok Tuklo:
You have done a beautiful job and the result is an impressive reading room. You also have good taste in art and other accessories too. Bravo, sir!
What type of wood did you use to build the bookshelves and what stains and lacquers/varnishes did you use?
That said, I want to see what books you have read and what books are on the to-read list.
Thanks for sharing the fruits of you labours with us all. It made very good eye-candy viewing.
Cheers and be well.

A man after my own heart on cabinet making and reading fiction. Huzzah!Science fiction, of course!
…and plush leather chairs with brass nails!Lovely. That room calls for a brandy and a cigar.![]()
I wanted to add that as someone who has hundreds of books, this is so inspiring. I love books. I have a favorite, We Were Soldiers Once and Young, but I also enjoy books like Giants in the Earth, many of my Lincoln books, down to some basic books like Even Big Guys Cry. I once counted that I had right at 500 books but that was more than 10 years ago. Unfortunately, I have about 300 books in bins and that bothers me. I might ask my brother to build me some nice furniture to display all of my books. I have two walls full of books in my back room. That is some serious work! Congratulations on your commitment to producing such an impressive library.
Fantastic job. This is as cosy and warm a library as I've seen. The wood stain you used adds just the right richness to the look.
An Old Fashioned, Montecristo No. 4 and a good Dickens novel.Lovely. That room calls for a brandy and a cigar.![]()
