Anyone in Ohio or paying attention to this race? I'm likely not voting in the presidential race at all b/c I'm just so tired of the partisan politics and not feeling like I can get a break from it, living in Ohio. However, I am voting in the Senate race. Sherrod works hard for Ohio, and Mandel can't even do his OWN JOB let alone take on a new one. He has an ad where he claims he's cleaned up the Treasurer's Office after Boyce. Um, at least Boyce didn't skip 13 meetings in a row in order to fund raise. I also don't want someone so pro-Israel in the Senate. I have a feeling the Iran/Israel conflict is going to heat up before the election. I admire the way Obama is handling it thus far, though you know Israel is going to pull something. I feel like Romney will get in, and it will be easier for him to make a case for war with more Repubs in the Senate (which isn't something that I want).

I keep hitting something by mistake and posting before I'm ready to on this forum... Anyway, wanted to add: what are your thoughts on this race? Mandel is gaining on Brown - has me worried.

Brown is a POS. typical yuppie elitist who wants to run other peoples' lives because he thinks he is smarter than every one else. I admit the guy he beat was the biggest as swipe in Ohio and a massive RINO I didn't vote for either and I gave Cordray 500 bucks when he ran against DeRino

The Dayton Daily News had some interesting reporting on Boyce=are you aware of his deputy and his deputy's lawyer.

Brown works hard for socialism. he's a scum bag as is Obama

Brown will probably win because Ohio has lots of freeloaders who want more handouts

Well, I like Brown, and I'm not a liberal yuppie or freeloader who wants handouts. He has done a lot for Ohio, whether you are a Dem or not. I say the same about Portman, though I know less about Portman's record. He seems to work hard, though, I do have a problem with so much of his campaign $ coming from overseas donors. That is something that dissuades me from Repubs every time. And, again, Mandel has trouble sticking to his own job, and wants a new one now...

I think Brown is an elitist Turd. As to foreign campaign contributions-CLinton and Obama got tons of them. and if you voted for Obama than your rant about Mandel running for a higher job right after getting a lower job has no credibility

But, Obama never was recorded saying that he planned to stay out the term in his office as Mandel did. Yes, I voted for Obama, but I never really liked the man. I like some of the things he's done, but I will not vote for him again. I should say I'm 99% sure - there is only one event I can think of that would cause me to vote for him again.

I voted for Clinton in the primary and was so disgusted at how the media treated the female candidates in that election, that I only voted for Obama at the last minute. I was afraid of McCain starting a war with Iran, though I felt confident McCain would win the election. I really only voted so I could say I didn't vote for McCain because I thought McCain was a lunatic.

Republicans get more far more foreign contributions than Democrats. It's public record now so don't bother to deny this fact. The majority of Portman's came from overseas.

i have known Portman since I was three years old. his major supporters are cincinnati billionaire families Lindner and Farmer. Most rich families in Cincinnati have supported Portman.
