Good. That's what you do with criminals.
Bold (and possibly foolish) prediction: Seeing Trump treated as an ordinary criminal will break the hold he has on the remaining center-leaning independents. Jack Smith and Alvin Bragg providing Trump with the due respect of an ex-President even as they indicted him afforded him the imprimatur of his former office. Watching him fingerprinted and photographed just as any mugger or meth dealer would be sort of breaks that image.
Not-bold prediction: there will be total chaos on DP as every left-leaning poster makes Trump's mug shot their avatar.
Former President Donald Trump and his 18 co-defendants will be booked at the Fulton County Jail, the sheriff’s office said Tuesday.
“At this point, based on guidance received from the District Attorney’s office and presiding judge, it is expected that all 19 defendants named in the indictment will be booked at the Rice Street Jail,” Fulton County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Natalie Ammons said in a statement.
Ahead of this week’s indictments, Fulton Sheriff Pat Labat said that if Trump were charged, the former president would be treated like any other detainee.
“It doesn’t matter your status. We have a mugshot ready for you,” Labat told reporters.
Trump, allies will be booked at Fulton County Jail, sheriff says
The Fulton County Jail, plagued with overcrowding and detainee deaths and under investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice, could make history as the first location where any U.S. president — current or former— gets a mug shot taken. Best way to get some prison reform perhaps?Sounds like a nice jail. 1.5 rating.
Oh...and the Sheriff can sell the pictures and make some money.
Best way to get some prison reform perhaps?
You would think, but I've seen this act a bunch of times already. When a wealthy connected white conservative actually ends up in the justice system, every conservative instantaneously turns into Civil Rights Activist Extraordinaire. Once the conservative is out of the system, their newfound civil rights activism goes...Best way to get some prison reform perhaps?
The Secret Service isn't going to let him be treated "like any other detainee".Ahead of this week’s indictments, Fulton Sheriff Pat Labat said that if Trump were charged, the former president would be treated like any other detainee.
The Secret Service isn't going to prevent him from getting booked, fingerprinted and photographed, if that's what you're imagining. The Secret Service isn't going to let him be treated "like any other detainee".
Did I say that? The Secret Service isn't going to prevent him from getting booked, fingerprinted and photographed, if that's what you're imagining.
No, but I notice you edited out the part of my post that qualifies "treated like any other detainee".Did I say that?
Rumor was Trump was going to use the mugshot to drum up outrage and to raise money. Go figure.Looking back, I'm still not clear why Bragg spared him the mug shot. It's pretty clear though that Willis isn't playing games.
I don't think that is a good move. Not only does it feed the Trump martyr narrative but the purpose of mug shots is for identification. We all know who he is. Having said that, the other 18 will have to go through that so why treat the ring leader special? It's a mess and a national nightmare.

I respectfully disagree. I am sick and tired of him getting special treatment. Let the cards fall where they may.I don't think that is a good move. I read it was because mugshots were primarily for identification, in case a prisoner escaped. They said they didn’t give trump a mugshot because everybody knew who he was.
And how did the whole "restraint" thing work out, again?I don't think that is a good move. Not only does it feed the Trump martyr narrative but the purpose of mug shots is for identification. That may be true but I still think it was also special treatment to some extent.
Hon he ain’t nothing but special treatment. That’s all he will ever get. If he gets house arrest, it will be in Maralago, for piss sakes.
That’s not punishment.
