I don't think there is any doubt that defence spending should be heavily scrutinized, but it hard to imagine that these layoffs would come from heavy scrutiny. Just more uninformed spreadsheet mathematics from Musks cyber nerds most likely. I wonder what percentage of the maga trained seals will keep clapping if Musk takes a serious knife to defence spending?
 
Tinker AFB has over 26,000 military and civilian employees. Over national debt is 40 trillion and our maintenance on the debt annually is over 800 BILLION. Cuts must be made. There is simply no way around this.

As for the weeping and wailing over lost civilian jobs......

I hope they were all neo-leftists involved in DEI bullshit among themselves. My guess is Tinker Air Force Base can live without Drag Queen Story Hour and the 600 neo-leftists needed to produce it. Worst case scenario, these were the slouchers that contributed nothing and their absence will have absolutely no effect on operations. When I did my MBA we discussed the 80:20 rule and 80% of the work is done by 20% of the people. The best thing an organization can do is fire their worst 10% every year to remind everyone that productivity is mandatory, the least productive get fired, and the 20% that do 80% of the work get rewarded.

Even more reason to start firing these neo-leftist teachers teaching CRT, Marxism and Aberrant Sexuality instead of reading comprehension, math, and many other needed subjects. Neo-leftists should not be allowed within 50 yards of a school or university.

In the first scenario federal employees were extorted to get a shot (which was untested and has proved to be destructive and didnt at all do what the liars pushing the shots said it would) or get fired. In the second scenario, federal workers are expected to actually have jobs and demonstrate productivity. Regardless...the same people peeing themselves over workers being fired were back then laughing with glee at anyone that dared to resist the government mandates and didnt mindlessly swallow every lie about COVID they were told.

Fired because they didnt mindlessly obey vs fired because you are either excess employees or not productive.

The federal government is not a private business entity. No private business on the planet could succeed being run like the fed.
