Bradley/Chelsea Manning Remains a Soldier. With Benefit! [W:6]

Re: Bradley/Chelsea Manning Remains a Soldier. With Benefit!

Sick-making.

Re: Bradley/Chelsea Manning Remains a Soldier. With Benefit!

To start off, it's Chelsea Manning. She's a transgender woman and it's important to respect that, despite the crimes one may have committed. That said however, Manning will no longer have a security clearance and given that she was recently released from Levinsworth I don't see the DoD authorizing her to re-enlist or even re-class to an MOS that doesn't require a clearance. Either start filing her chapter paperwork, or have her in Military Intelligence hell and have her stuck working in one of the S shops.

So why do we need to respect the gender confused? What makes them special?

That's right, If she/it weren't a highly publicized criminal, she wouldn't be.

Because people who suffwr from gender dysphoria are people and it costs very little to show someone basic human decency. Even if the person is a traitor and should be serving her full 30 years in prison.

Moderator's Warning:
Okay, since it's obvious where this is going to go otherwise.

If you want to call her Chelsea, call her Chelsea. If you want to call him Bradley, call him Bradley. If you don't like what other people are calling Manning, bitch about them in the basement or start a more general thread on the topic of how Manning should be referred to. This thread is about the idea of Manning remaining a soldier and/or getting benefits. Unless your discussion of the transgenderism issue is DIRECTLY related to that topic, and your post clearly shows how, I'd suggest you just refrain from going there.

That is the least important point of this case.

Why do you think you can preach to other people what to call somebody else?

I don't think a traitor should receive benefits.

It cost US taxpayers a pretty penny to transform that little weirdo.

I read the article to indicate that his status would remain active until after the appeals were done. While I have no doubt that Manning is a traitor I don't necessarily oppose the policy based on law.

Fair point re appeals.
