* He Was born into wealth and privilege.
* He has been divorced.
* He has had an affair.
* Never served in the military.

Maybe a better explanation is that they ACTUALLY see how stupid Newsom is making them look with his "Trump style" psycho- babble postings and they absolutely cannot stand the humiliation?

Sometimes the simplest answer is the correct one. In this case, maybe they are suffering from NDS because Newsom does a better job of mocking Trump than Trump does of being Trump.

Political viewpoints and philosophy probably have more to do with republicans, MAGA and Trump’s dislike (NDS) of Newsom than personal history. Then too, standing up and trying to do something about Trump’s and the Texas Republicans mid-decade, mid-census redistricting for purely partisan reasons also has a lot to do with MAGA’s NDS. Trump, MAGA, republicans in general expected the democrats to roll over and play dead, Newsom isn’t. My own personal view of the mid-decade, mid-census redistricting is totally wrong, unethical and if there were such a thing as morals in politics, morally wrong also. Districts should stand as drawn right after the census until the next census is taken. There should be no mid-decade or mid-census redrawing of districts unless the courts order it be done. Certainly not for 100% purely partisan reasons.

Off on a bit of a tangent there. The bottom line as I see it isn’t personal history. It has more to do with political philosophy and Newsom standing up to Trump, MAGA and the GOP. Personal history went out the window back in the 1990’s as far as voters determining who they’d vote for. If personal history was all that important, Bill Clinton’s womanizing and draft dodging would have defeat him, then there’s Trump with his personal history which seems to have not made one iota of a difference.

There needs to be more standing up to Trump and calling him out for his autocratic, undemocratic and economically destructive actions. Too many politicians, corporations and institutions are sitting back and allowing him to go unchecked for fear of the retribution they would face .

Initially I didn't pay much attention to the man, I would even go as far as saying I thought he was a bit of an attention seeker, I'm gonna guess because I had the feeling he was already campaigning for the next presidential election and we are too far away for that, I thought. I'm beginning to think differently. He and others in the democratic party won't be intimidated by trump because they have working brains and know how to use them.

I do think the gop will lose the midterms and so the house and if that happens, it will be a completely different last two years for Trump and crew. I hope real law and order resumes and these folks along with trump finally face it.
