COLUMBIA — Now-suspended state Rep. Robert John "RJ" May III will be held indefinitely inside the Lexington County jail after a federal magistrate denied him bond in the wake of a shocking filing of charges that centered on him allegedly sharing electronic files depicting child sexual abuse.

May, 38, was indicted by a federal grand jury this week on 10 counts of distributing child sexual abuse materials — the culmination of a more than yearlong probe in which authorities were tipped off by a national messaging app before moving in to seize his phone and computer.

Some of the allegations are sickening, but the story is all over the place, and lacking in detail.

I think 2 or three of the Jan 6th rioters pardoned by trump were arrested for sexual assault on a minor and sharing child porn.

It's like racists and the right, they may not all be racists, but man, racists sure feel comfortable in that party.

FWIW, my groomer ran for Congress on the Republican ticket. Twice. That's a sample size of one but it's a subject that's near to my (then-broken) heart. So I know how conservative pedos use their "I'm a good Christian blah blah" "really great guy" persona to do whatever they want, to whomever they want. It's actually the perfect cover. (Used also by clergy people, teachers, etc.) Oh, he's a great guy, he'd never do something like that, look how he believes in family values, etc.

It is absolutely staggering to me to hear people try to "meh" this off.

I keep thinking conservatives can't go any lower, nothing will surprise me and all that, and then...I'm unpleasantly surprised all over again.

Apparently this poster believes that b/c this POS also shared images* of women, I mean it wasn't just todders, it's ok....I just...can't.

*FWIW, I can't confirm that this is the accusation by the prosecution b/c the second time I tried to read the article, I hit a paywall.
 
Seems like many pedos in the news are white-skinned rightwing degenerates. Most also claim to be "Christians", surprise, surprise. Sick bastards, but they always try to blame trans people, etc. for such sicko behavior. They all have reasons for their lies.

Women? These were children, really small ones…child porn and all that so bad he was denied bond
