Go take a business course? Yeah right, that just means you drink from the time you wake up till the time you go to sleep. Business majors are easy mode.
Another uncertain is the fact that we STILL DON'T HAVE A BUDGET. And that's the Republocrats fault.
By Paul Kane and Philip Rucker, Published: April 15
House Republicans approved a budget on Friday that would fundamentally alter Medicare and Medicaid, lower taxes on individuals and corporations and cut $4.4 trillion from the nation’s deficit over the next decade.
With its passing, Republicans have officially put forth their vision for reducing the nation’s debt and defining how the federal government fits into people’s lives. It’s a sharply different approach from the one outlined by President Obama on Wednesday, setting up months of clashes between the two parties over a number of critical fiscal issues.
WHAT?
The GOP PRESENTED a Budget. The Dem's held the House AND SENATE for TWO YEARS and failed to present a budget.
Go smoke some more left wing tripe Ikari, that might fly with the uninformed, but not with folks that pay any attention at all to what's going on.

House passes GOP budget plan for 2012 - The Washington Post
Lies, it's all you've Got Ikari.
Dumbass comments and arguments is all you got. Obama presented the Republicans with one of their original plans, but they too denied it. Now it's just cry cry cry on either side and nothing gets done. Thanks for nothing.
We can. The question should be why? I may be ok with raising taxes if the additional revenue went entirely to pay down the debt. The feds like many States cannot continue to spend at the level they are doing it. Don't you think the Feds should have a balanced budget? Part of that budget should be the debt payment. This is no different than many citizens that have to balance the home budget which includes loan obligations (home, car, etc). The govt., like people should not live beyond their means.

Obama presented an outline with no specifics, didn't that go down 97-0 in the Senate? Yeah, yeah it did. Try again Ikari.
Because the future is uncertain. Obamacare, tax hikes... you don't start hiring and spending without knowing what future costs are going to be.
Business 101, go take a course and get back to us.
Yeah, so where are the jobs then? Businesses are sitting on record profits.
Why in writing from the Democrats? A Republican president and Congress are what UN-balanced the budget after Clinton left office.
no dice, we need to do bothI'm mildly shocked, this is past the point the GOP always caves in and gives up it's position to the Democrats in the "spirit of bi-partisanship" and usually get hosed.
I guess the Tea Party really DOES matter.
Let's face it folks, the problem is NOT a revenue problem, it's a spending problem. WE HAVE TO CUT SPENDING, not increase taxes.

How does the latter disprove the former, exactly? Or are you just mudslinging and obfuscating?
So are the Republicans. It's a game of political chicken, and we're in the passengers' seats.
Personally, I haven't seen a single legitimate argument against raising taxes by conservatives. All I've seen from them is "We have a budget deficit, ergo we have a spending problem." Guess what? A balanced budget means that one balances one's income with one's expenditures. That means that the deficit could be reduced by either spending cuts, tax increases or a combination of both. This, obviously, then, is not an argument at all. Yet they keep on repeating it as if it has meaning (see Vicchio's idiotic posts in this thread for example).
I have a feeling that once we get closer to the date we'll see the pressure from lobbyists and the economy take effect and these good old boys will pass a budget.

If taxes are raised congress will only spend it. How much do you think would go toward debt reduction? It's like feeding a giant, out of control, spending spree with your money.
I personally want to see Obama stop payment on several social security payments like he has stated. Think that will bode well for the incumbent in an upcoming election year?
No. But nor do I wish to see seniors crashing and burning to make a point.
Since when have Reps "caved" to Dems?
no dice, we need to do both

According to the Tea Partiers, compromise = "caving." To the most strident, having a civil conversation with a Democrat or saying anything nice about one makes someone a "RINO."
He wasn't threatening. He was stating facts.

That wasn't a threat.
That wasn't a threat.
No doubt. A threat has a possibility of actually happening.
Threat: a declaration of an intention or determination to inflict punishment, injury, etc., in retaliation for, or conditionally upon, some action or course (dictionary.com).
