Most of them accept it. But yes, there are clearly numerous wing-nuts who are so disconnected from reality, and so eager to ape Trump, that they will deny landslides if they think they have something to gain from doing so.

And he already lost, with a tiny slice of the electorate, so it's not like he can somehow lose out more by braying out such lies about the loss.

I think they're testing the waters. The same thing happened here with local primaries. Third and fourth place finishers requested recounts, and lo and behold, MAGA county commissioners refused to certify the recounts. They were coerced into changing their votes, but I expect to see much more of this in November.
