It'd be nice if they "accidnetly" put him in general population for that 4 months. Make a special prison uniform that says "Billionaire Pedophile."

I agree. Too bad it'll never happen.

Reading the article it says the girl told the investigators this all started after she finished sixth grade and that he had exposed himself, fondled her under her clothes and kissed her breasts and elsewhere.

But here is the catch. The girl and her mother refused to cooperate or testify against him. You have a daughter just finishing the 6th grade and some old fart in his 50's is fondling her and you refuse to place charges?

Am I missing something here, or was there a little cash gift given to the girl and her mother?

A mere slap on the wrist.
So it appears but given the reported lack of cooperation from the victim and her family and the lack of any other significant evidence, it was probably the best outcome achievable.

Why bother with court cases at all then. Why not just mob rule based on media coverage?

I'm also curious why it being implied that his being a billionaire somehow justifies greater punishment.

Mother and victim might have filed a civil lawsuit, and settled out of court, and if they had, the amount would most likely be undisclosed.

Good thing he didn't drive drunk and kill a poor girl while at it - he might have gotten off completely.

In Wisconsin? You're probably correct.

Read a piece about two weeks ago, some guy was on his 12th. dui.

It's not because he's a billionaire; it's because the victim accused him of fondling her between 15-20 times but now refuses to cooperate, so a felony has been downgraded to a misdemeanor.

Pedo, once he was satisfied he wasn't being recorded, admitted to the mother that he had exposed himself, touched her daughter, etc.

So now he'll spend the night for a few months in the county motel and under "Huber Rules," permission to work while incarcerated. For a felony.

So some people are thinking, "Money talks..."

Probably didn't even have to file a lawsuit.

Although it would be risky, the defendant's attorneys may have made the family an offer they couldn't refuse. (I wouldn't blame them, by the way.)

How many days did Micheal Jackson serve? oh yea NONE, and he was a repeat offender. Oh wait it was with boys so the LGBT came to his rescue.

Never having to worry about money again...college education paid for...many would be tempted.

Hopefully, they won't place him into a Boys and Girls club like they do some drunk driving offenders.

This state is pretty much out of touch with different types of offenders.

In my ghetto, they released a pedo into a flat without notifying a mother of three juveniles, when she found out, she decided to move out immediately, rather than to contact the state. That's how stupid state parole board is here.

No, not everybody has a price. But I'm sure whatever "understanding" was arrived at was "generous."

Isn't that just prostituting your child? If some old fart molested my 11 year old daughter I am coming for him. There must not be a dad in the picture as the billionaire felt he only had to deal with a not so bright mother. He is a sexual predator and seeks the vulnerable.

Yet another example on a long list of them that shows that there are 2 distinct legal systems: one for the rich & one for everyone else.

I thought that too, kind of screwed up I think.

Definitely is, and has been for a very long time - Tocqueville wrote about it in the early 1800's, but the concept extends back to the dawn of civilization.

Money = power = influence. I understood that in my 20's.

Like this rich kid?

Texas teen in "affluenza" case gets rehab for driving drunk, killing 4 - CNN.com

The uncooperative victim and mother in this case must have contributed to the misdemeanor charge I'm thinking because I believe sexual assault of a minor is a felony. Like Maggie said, possibly some money was traded to the victim to sort of just forget about it.

I really didn't want to see him tucked away for life, but I think five years would have been fair, or 2 years and electronic monitoring for 3.

It was Texas, a Liberal bastion known for cuddling the poor and hating the rich.
