So was looking to replace my little Craftsman(junk) tiller/cultivator, but wasn't looking to drop a sizeable chunk. But also wasn't going for the off brand(IE Harbor Frieight, etc..) Wasn't too fussed over gas or electric. More price.

Just happened to do some more online browsing this morning to come across the Ryobi 40v 16" at The Depot on a Mother's Day sale for $299. Off I was. Last one sitting there. Not really seeing it as a loss-leader to get you in the store. Other items would seem more of a draw. I did buy some grass seed I needed anyway...

So the shelf tag says $999.00,(other places online had it listed at that) but  NOW $599! Now comes the the Mother's Day sale price of $299!
Well that's quite the 'discount'. Probably cost them 75 bucks to get it on hand and on the shelf.

Point?

Glad you were happy with your purchase however.
