It just came across the wire, and is being reported by FOX News, Biden will step aside and will address the nation next week.

Verified, it is true.
 
My thoughts on the above.

Joe Biden said he would only step aside if his physical health prevented him from governing as our president or "God Almighty" came down and spoke to him.

My question is this. If he is now intent on stepping aside, how come he is not stepping down from the presidency now?
 
Why not step down as President. Because he is capable of finishing his term (imo)
 
Darn. I was hoping Joe would fight, fight, FIGHT. Oh wait. . . that was someone else.

Anyways, Joe has experience as President and none of the alternatives do. This is why I think that Biden has the best chance of beating Trump. Voters value experience.

I think this a HUGE mistake, and dems will regret changing horses in the middle of the stream.

Someone must have gotten to Dr. Jill because you know there is no way that Joe made the decision. Jill will probably give him extra ice cream tonight.
 
Now watch as the corporatist D's who with the aid of the media have been ramrodding this whole mess attempt to dump Harris as well through the freak show of an open convention.

Worth pointing out the none of the dump Biden crowd has offered that he should step out of the race AND endorse Harris.

Not sure it matters. I don’t see anyone other than Biden beating Trump.

Good TV, though. Bet the DNC gets record ratings.
 
With that out of the way, hopefully we can focus on the task at hand.

If Trump can run bragging about "accomplishments" that he never accomplished, and ignoring all his failures, why couldn't harris?

I suspect she will run on the accomplishments of the administration, something Biden didn't seem to do much of.

Just heard. Wonder what's next. Are Dems gonna take it to the convention or come up with a nominee behind closed doors? I wonder what the legal status is on primary votes? I wouldn't want to be a top Democrat today un-srcewing this mess. Gonna be interesting.
 
Biden now endorsing Harris. Not sure that can save the party from the freak show of an open convention.

Clearly there are those pushing Biden out that want to climb over Harris as well. I doubt a so called "mini-primary gets it done. I can see lawsuits coming out of that from now till doomsday.

That leaves open convention. Good luck with that.

Yeah, she'll get far "bragging" about 19% inflation, trillions in debt, middle class families living paycheck to paycheck and billions flushed down the Ukraine toilet.
 
The Democrats are so wrapped up in identity politics that if they choose anyone other than Kamala for the top spot, the infighting will be so much fun to watch.

Anybody that thinks we are flushing money down the drain in Ukraine simply does not understanding geopolitics. Oh I forgot, the Right asserts that geopolitics do not matter.

In addition:
Inflation is coming down
the economy is booming
nobody cares about the deficit
the GOP really only wants to run on Immigration. It has no interest in improving the situation which it does not understand anyway

This predicted about a week ago, to the day, by Bongino.

Now the Democrats have no choice but to run Harris as their candidate. If they try to pass over her, they are going to lose a huge amount of support in the minority communities.

Unless, of course, she bows out on her own (backroom arm twisting?) . . and who would believe that, her bowing out on her own?
