I get a kick out of such claims , Biden orders a withdrawal from Afghanistan and it was a mess yet its Trumps fault ?
SO when the president of the united states decide to with drawl from Afghan lands and has done a poor job at it veery disorganized and poorly planned its the former President fault .
I could just as easy claim its Clintons fault for falling to kill Asama when he had the chance and we would never of had 911 or troops in Afghanistan , would that be fair ? Joe did a poor job of it plain and simple its his fault not others . His decision his calls . This type of crap has to stop on both sides . Joe has a history of not manning up .
I find it disgusting that all politicians do this and there are no excuses .

In Feb 2020 trump signed a deal with the Taliban to be out by May 2021. In the year from Feb 2020 to Jan 2021, how much equipment did Trump recover from Afghanistan? How much of the withdrawal was completed by the time Biden inherited a 20 year war with only 4 months left before the US had to be totally out of the country?
If you can show that Trump had used that year to withdraw most of the 20 years worth of equipment, and had the withdrawal plan almost complete given the few remaining months when he left office, then yes, blame Biden for any mess. If Trump signed the deal in Feb 2020 and achieved almost nothing regarding the withdrawal that he agreed to before leaving office, then put the blame where it should lie.
 
I would like Biden to explain what they would of done differently had they not been constrained by Trump that would have resulted in a better outcome.

It speaks volumes that nobody in the media will ask any questions that they think the answer might not cast Biden or his administration in a flattering light.
 
A LOT of people have never read the Trump " agreement "
Trump GAVE the Taliban EVERYTHING they had been fighting for for 20 Years
He even helped the Taliban take over the Afghan government
then on top of all that Trump did NOT put a Transition team in place to help the Biden admin, to know just what the Trump admin was doing , how they were doing it and what they already had done
MAYBE just MAYBE IF he had a lot of the mistakes the Biden team has made in the first year or so would NOT have happened

You apparently are not up on this issue so now you have panties in bunch. Perhaps a little study time would help put this in perspective for you.

Biden didn't decide to withdrawal for Afghanistan, that decision was made by Trump and put into motion well before Biden even started. Not that Biden would not have withdrawn; he would have, but the Trump did most of the withdrawal, made most of the commitments and fundamentally tied the hands of the Biden administration with a timetable.

What Trump failed to do was 1) have an exit plan and 2) effect a transition plan. The exiting Trump administration was much more focused on staying in power in December 2020 then it was getting the new administration up to speed. Each of those are valid criticisms. I agree the Biden administration is not lily white here. They did inherent a problem and perhaps could have done a better job remedying the problem, but being shocked that Trump administration is being blamed here (maybe too much) is just ignorance on your part.

President Trump negotiated our surrender to the Taliban. Included in that surrender was the release of prisoners twice the number of American troops in the theater when Biden was sworn in. President Biden’s choices were to stand by the United States’ commitments or abrogate the surrender agreement and surge forces back into Afghanistan.
 

He did not blame it on Trump and it was not a poor job plain and simple.
 
The Taliban were on the offensive against the Afghan government during the Trump administration despite the Doha Agreement. They signed the agreement at the end of February 2020, and the Taliban escalated attacks against the Afghan government in spring of 2020. What the Taliban were doing is waiting the Americans out because they knew the former administration had no interest in trying to stop them based on their actions.

Had the Taliban escalation led to an end of the agreement and a promise of troop increases and longer US presence, then you can at least argue the administration showed some resolve in preventing the Taliban's advance. None of that happened, so the Taliban kept advancing with no real concern of the US changing course.

Because that's what the US agreed to. Changing all of that would have meant a re-engagement in Afghanistan and redeploying troops to launch an offensive against the areas the Taliban took. The Biden administration didn't have the appetite for that either. It's also hard to predict whether or not there wouldn't have been a terrorist attack that killed people even if there was an orderly withdrawal. Remember, it was a suicide attack.

That equipment was left for the Afghan military. That it and the government collapsed was going to remedied how, exactly?
 
That's the short if it. You can make a safe bet that the same folks complaining about the withdrawal would be complaining about Biden and "forever wars". Do I think the withdrawal of Americans there and our Afghan allies could have been better coordinated over a long period of time before our exit date? Sure.

AGAIN take time and actually READ the Trump " Agreement" and YOU will see it WAS Trump that handed the Taliban control of the Afghan government WAY before Biden took office
and gave them a lot more
and as I said MAYBE IF Trump would have put a Transition team together like EVERY OTHER US President has done since the beginning of this Country the Biden team just may have known what the Trump people were doing, WHAT their jobs consisted of , HOW to do their jobs and a LOT of the mistakes including this one just MIGHT NOT have happened
