Change Biden to Cheney and all your buts vanish...
If Biden wasn't attached to Obamas ass all your buts vanish....
You've even gone so far as to act like you always knew it was there.

Now learn to comprehend what you read.
I said-
I didn't know about this until Biden told about it. I added the line "loose lips sink ships" because once a secret like this is out..the ship is sunk.
I then seperated that comment on this instance with ///////// and made a comment overall about the left and their flippant dismissal(as displayed by you) of anything like this.
So giggle it up get slapped on the ass by posters who do the same, mock people..call me a NEOCON!.....it matters not at all to me. I'll simply use it to repeat what I said and why.
I notice this more and more form many(not all) posters here..instead of bothering to reply to what a person says for what they said they either play extreme word technicalities or simply mock anyone who disagrees with their vaunted opinion.
Not impressed.
Things are only a secret to the public at large. The bad guys already know our so-called secrets, so this is a non-starter.
most of the "bunkers" are left over from cold war days. The Russians know where each one of them are and it's not classified with them. It's just an excuse to whine about Joe Biden.Things are only a secret to the public at large. The bad guys already know our so-called secrets, so this is a non-starter.
"My [Secret Service] agent all of a sudden materialized right beside me and said, 'Sir, we have to leave now.' He grabbed me and propelled me out of my office, down the hall, and into the underground shelter in the White House," Cheney said
[...]
A relic of the Cold War, the deep underground bunker became the vice president's base of operations on the first day of a new war.
CNN.com - Cheney recalls taking charge from bunker - September 11, 2002
Yeah, like no one knew about the bunkers. Well maybe not Mary Matalin, but then again we're talkin' Mary Matalin...LOL.
I'm sure the wingnuts were just as outraged at Cheney for mentioning the bunkers back in 2002...
It's just an excuse to whine about Joe Biden.
So Biden said "hey there's a secret bunker in my house." The house everyone knows he lives in. Number One Observatory Circle. A secret room in a house that anyone familiar with the Vice President knows serves as his residence.
Imagine that, a bunker designed to provide safety and communications to the VP and his staff located in his house. Wow...that's just unbelievable. What's next? Safe rooms and communications equipment in the White House? Surely not. I mean they wouldn't do that would they? Man I hope nobody spills the beans on that one.
What really has he actually revealed here? Sure it's dumb to advertise, but it's a well known, highly secured locations to begin with. It's not beyond reason to assume there would be a highly secure bunker or safe room there. Besides, it's already common knowledge that a lot of highly sensitive, underground digging and construction were done there. Neighbors complained about it according to the article. Hmmm...wonder what that could have been for? Tornados?
I don't see a big deal at all. Every citizen knows that the residences of top level officials and the capital etc have all of these types of protective areas... It's common knowledge there's a bunker below the white house, and I always had a thought there was something similar under the Vice Presidents residence- I even have an idea that there is a tunnel connecting the bunker under the Vp's residence to the White House.
How? Just because it's classified does not mean it has any measurable impact upon our national security. If this is the stance we are going to take, then let's articulate just how this compromises our national security.Releasing classified material, assuming this was classified, is always a threat to national security.
Well, if they were reasonably intelligent people to begin with, they would assume that there were protective measures or safe rooms to begin with. It is after all the VP's house and it is surrounded by armed guards, fences, and cameras. However, if they were so dumb as to think that once they pass the guards they are a deadbolt away from the VP, his family, and all those things the VP would keep at his house...well this "new" information about the secret bunker fortification might just make them think twice about even trying it. Or maybe they could bring a tank with a robotic laser arm or something? Many people might suspect that there was a bunker under the VP's residence, but now that they know for sure, it narrows the focus of any type of planning that an adversary might be planing. We'll see if any more details are released.
Agreed.Regardless, this was a dumb move by the VP.

And this is what makes you who you are and what makes me who I am. I'm not a mind reader like you. A mind reader whose really bad at what he does.Change Biden to Cheney and all your buts vanish...

Wrong again Triad. I've assumed as much because it makes sense for it to be there. No need to be dishonest Karnak. You've even gone so far as to act like you always knew it was there.
Agreed.//////////////
Okay sir, with a teacher of your caliber this should be like recess! Now learn to comprehend what you read.
Really? How so? If I could surmise it was there, and the neighbors knew there was deep underground digging going on...I'm pretty sure that our enemies probably could have surmised the same thing. So again, what "ship has been sunk?" The secret for secrets sake?I said-
I didn't know about this until Biden told about it. I added the line "loose lips sink ships" because once a secret like this is out..the ship is sunk.
Which is just more of your usual non-relevant rhetorical turd slinging.I then seperated that comment on this instance with ///////// and made a comment overall about the left and their flippant dismissal(as displayed by you) of anything like this.
This coming from the guy who says things like "This is one of many reasons why I don't trust the left on anything related to maters of national Security..So giggle it up get slapped on the ass by posters who do the same, mock people..call me a NEOCON!.....it matters not at all to me. I'll simply use it to repeat what I said and why.
Well what do you want me to say? When you make such stupid comments as the one above I kinda feel like I'm doing you a favor by not pointing out how ignorant you make yourself sound.I notice this more and more form many(not all) posters here..instead of bothering to reply to what a person says for what they said they either play extreme word technicalities or simply mock anyone who disagrees with their vaunted opinion.
Right back at ya Champ. Not impressed.
Regardless of your opinion on the value of classified material, the fact that it's classified carries a certain weight, and if that material is divulged, there are penalties.
I agree. However, can you reasonably articulate how assuming and knowing would weigh in with regards to planning an actual attack on the VP's house? Because I can easily make a case that it would potentially cause plotters to move on to a less defensible target. We are speculating after all you know.Assuming and knowing are two very different things.
Now wait a minute. I agree there are penalties to disclosing classified information, that is not at question here. What is at question are the claims that what Joe Biden said actually compromised our national security to any measurable degree. And in that sense the weight of the classified information is absolutely relevant.
Thus, my calls for some kind of articulation on the "how so" from earlier.

LOL...I only mentioned her because this was in the article I posted.Redress said:Considering who she worked for, I am almost certain she knows about more bunkers than we do.
"I didn't know that it existed until I was actually down there, and I'm sure I could find my way back there to this day," said Mary Matalin, a counselor to the vice president.
In their case, the saying 'Politics makes strange bedfellows' never rang truer.Redress said:By the way, and totally off topic, does any one else find the fact that she is married to James Carvelle kinda oddly romantic? Two people, at the tops of their fields but as opponents, and yet they still seem to share a deep abiding love.
I don't think it really matters, if it did why would he tell everyone where the bunker was?
So what? The Vice President has a bunker? Yawn.
