Biden talks about replacing all th aging water pipe in this country, which currently accounts for endless suffering for some communities, heath problems and expenses and lost productivity in a country desperate to bring manufacturing back to the US and Kevin McCarthy sits there with his thumb up his ass. What else is new. Kevin must think Donnie is watching.

IF raising the minimum wage to 15 an hour will eliminate poverty for those working 2000 hours a year, why not raise it to 50 an hour? if you can currently buy 3 gallons of gas for an hour's minimum wage, are you better off if gas costs 5 dollars a gallon after this idiocy is passed?

I don't think insisting on $15 is going anywhere but he is stuck either not mentioning minimum wage increase at all or calling for it at $15. I suspect it will go to $12.

you might well be right but what good does it do? btw the groups that really push for MW hikes are unions whose contracts are often tied to the MW
 
what is the fair share for a group that makes less than 25% of the income and yet pays almost 40% of the income tax? HIs stupid rant about corporations ignores the fact that the US citizens who own those businesses are paying far more than their fair share. Why should those of us who pay the most income taxes pay even more

I've been listening to President Biden, strong speech, wise man, we are lucky there is no longer an uneducated conman in charge. President Biden has done more work and accomplished more in 100 days, as the failed twice impeached traitor did in four years.

that's a really stupid response. Raising the minimum wage does the following

1) cheapens the value of the dollar-causing inflation
2) prices lots of people out of the market-especially in areas where automation is rapidly developing. Check out cashiers are going the way of the dinosaur at big box stores. what does a scanner cost?probably not 30,000 a year plus all the other costs an employee does

Biden is the most intellectually deficient man to hold this office in at least 100 years.
 
Other than fumbling a word or two having trouble with the teleprompter and/or his own senility, he is not doing all that bad.

At least Biden has not handed out the Presidential Medal of Freedom to a racist asshole yet.

1 is a massive stretch
2 is a decent response to $15 an hour as a national minimum wage but does not justify where it is currently
 
Huh, he seemed pretty darn articulate and coherent to me. Good explanations, good connection with the American people. Put a foundation of 'how' underneath proposals.

I didnt agree with everything, but in general, IMO he's taking us in the right direction.

It sounds good, but when they do break or fail underground, it's a whole lot more $$ and time to fix.

And I'm here in the Pac NW and we have huge trees, windstorms, and lose power all the time.
