Biden Decides To Stick To Aug 31st Deadline!

Of course! It's the Taliban who's calling all the shots!
Biden's got thousands of Americans as sitting ducks in that airport! He has to bow down and go along with it.

What else can Biden do?
He assured and made a promise to the people ON NATIONAL TV - watched all over the globe - USA will get out of Afghanistan,
and he doesn't want war.

How can he back out of that?

If he defies the Taliban and extends the evacuation effort past the deadline - he risks getting into a fight, and right back at war......
.......either that or, he'll take anything the Taliban dishes out (including massacre of people in the airport) without any peep about it.



That's what happens when you lay out all your cards on the table for all to see. Especially, your FEARS!
The Taliban got him where they want him.

He got outsmarted, and royally f***ed!!

It’s the same way cruise lines operate. If you’re not on the ship by departure time then GOODBYE! You’re responsible for arranging your way out of wherever you are. Biden already extended the deadline agreed to with the Taliban by almost 4 months.
 
Biden will simply redefine the definition of what it means to "get all Americans out of Afghanistan"

And Jen Psaki will simply tell reporters that they're wrong to ask questions about it.

Yeah, except you'd be blocked by terrorists in getting anywhere near the ship by departure time - even though you tried and tried to get there in time.
 
Americans were notified by the US Embassy to leave the country ASAP on May 15th. That was over 3 months ago. There were no terrorists blocking them for 2 and 1/2 months.
 
The right will go nuts on this saying they want to stay to bring more Afghans to the States while the right says they are bringing way too many Afghans to the States while the right says he buckled to the Taliban while the right says...whatever of those Tucker tells them to say. it is impossible to figure out what the right thing should be done and how it should be done except that whatever Biden does it will be wrong.

Exactly. They've already set up their narrative. It will be - those left behind were those who chose not to leave.
After all, thousands of Americans are choosing not to leave a country controlled by the world's most dangerous terrorists.
 
Something's on tv. Have to wait for it and check it out again. Something like, the Taliban has now declared Afghans can no longer go to the airport - BUT, foreigners are still allowed to go to the airport until Aug 31.

Do they know something we don't know?
 
The US military informed President Biden that they had to know by today (Tuesday 8/24) if the August 31st date was firm.

They still must evacuate 5,800 US soldiers and as much US military/security/vetting equipment now at the airport as possible.

The administration knows how many SIV have been issued and how many are leaving each day. The ticket out now is a plastic bracelet with scan bar (like you receive in the hospital).

I know a Ukraine military AN-178 transport plane is also ferrying Afghan refugees to Europe. Ramstein Air Base in Germany is now full.
 

What does this have to do with bringing Afghans to the US? How did you manage to inject that into the discussion?

The topic is how when things were falling apart, Biden said America would stay as long as necessary -- and now he's going back to saying it's Aug 31st again -- obviously because he's hostage to the Taliban.

All the Americans still trapped in Afghanistan are now hostages of the Taliban. Everybody knows this.

I have not felt so much pride in a president since Ray-Gun.

I have long considered Bush one the best President of my lifetime but Joe is doing great things!

It's not the people at the airport who are at risk. They can be moved out very quickly. It's the 40,000 Americans throughout the country that Biden has already abandoned who are at risk.

Biden's puppet masters care more about their own political futures than about 40,000 Americans at the mercy of the Taliban.
 

Maybe we need to bold the above for the slower learners.

.......or maybe he had been told that they will have all Americans out who want to be out by then. The facts are nobody here has a clue what has gone into these calculations. One thing is for sure get ready to house, feed, and fund about 200K Afghanis for a very long time.
