WASHINGTON/WILMINGTON, Del. (Reuters) - Joe Biden’s campaign seized on a fresh line of attack on the eve of the Democratic presidential nominee’s first debate with President Donald Trump, accusing the Republican incumbent of gaming the system to avoid paying his fair share of taxes.
=============================================================
Both the tax & debt issues leave Trump vulnerable going into tonight's first debate. Of course he will lie to avoid implicating himself.

How quickly did Biden's campaign have ads out after this bombshell "news story?"

Why not? Trump is a liar & a con man as well as a tax cheat & a national security risk.

Well, because these things usually take time, unless of course they were coordinated.

Trump is too dumb and obvious of a liar to be an actual con man, and even the NYT article, with all its speculation, wasn't able to claim he's a "tax cheat."

They don't want to be sued for defamation but the implication is there from their reporting.

Do you remember when Warren Buffet said he paid less taxes than his secretary? Let's just all forget that. It just doesn't fit with the narrative. Carry on with the stupidity.

Warren Buffet has assets that he can claim depreciation on, like the BNSF Railway. Trump took the money he pays his daughter for consulting fees.

The only other people that employ their family is the Mafia.

Do you remember when it turned out Warren Buffet was lying about his vast wealth but was the pathetically failed business-conman 60% always knew he was, who had only run for the presidency as a bid to revive his brand after blowing hundreds of millions in reality TV profits, stuck owing 421 million to unknown lenders and under investigation for tax fraud?

I don't either.

Have a ... day

Yes, that's what they'd like to "imply" but they didn't actually cite any facts to back it up.

Trump has a responsibility to his people to pay as little in taxes as possible and the rules are so that he can do this, so I don't see the righteous indignation really, but good luck, you got to do what you got to do to get elected.

Buffett didn't claim to pay less in taxes, he pays a lower tax rate. Trump pays less most years in actual nominal taxes than his secretary. There's a mountain of difference between those two situations.

When you're a billionaire businessman who can afford a room full of tax lawyers, you may not pay much tax.
Think Trump is different than the other billionaires?

It's likely to come up, we'll see how this plays out in the end. But Trump won't be able to storm off and not take questions like he does during is press conferences, so we'll see how all of it plays out.

This makes me want to vote for him even more.

This is 2020 man, a small team...heck one good person...can come up with a short ad in less than an hour.

Of course it does. If Dear Leader does it, it's to be applauded, because Dear Leader is always right! MAGA!!

No, Trump is wrong about a lot of things. For example, he's an economic illiterate when it comes to trade and immigration.

Sure. If you're a hidebound republican.

I stumbled on what looks like King Chump's Cheat Sheet for tonight's debate.

Other billionaire are actually billionaires and not leveraged tp the hilt from questionable lenders.

ironic how the true "patriots" love that trump is gaming the system in order to stick it to the man. Of course they don't realize that Trump is the man now and the only ones getting stuck are the average people.

Well, yeah, but you hate America.
Absolutely these jackasses don't even realize that they are the ones getting screwed.
