Liberal New York Times scribe and one of President Biden’s closest media allies, Thomas Friedman, admitted in a new column that President-elect Donald Trump has an opportunity to go down in history for his Middle East policy.

In the column published Tuesday, Friedman wrote that Trump’s term could have major consequences for the region, especially regarding the Israel-Palestinian conflict, and noted that the president-elect could broker a deal to "birth a Palestinian state."

"Say what you will about Trump (and there is a lot to say), but he’s drawn to striking big deals that can have profound and even history-shaping consequences," Friedman wrote, adding, "There is enormous opportunity and appetite for a game-changing deal — if Trump wants to reach for it and only if he does it right."

Trump gets more credit than most presidents for doing something marginal because the bar is set incredibly low for him.
 
Trump just can't stop winning! That said I think Trump has better odds with the Ukraine war because at least both sides are somewhat respectable. Dealing with the terrorist Hamas or Iran is pretty much pointless. Any promises they make they'll just break. Negotiations require good faith from both sides.
 
If Trump brokers an EQUITABLE treaty between Israel and Palestine (probably needs to include Iran as well to be effective) I will be massively surprised, but offer him a lot more respect than I currently feel. I am not however going to hold my breath. In real terms Trump is only capable if enforcing deals from a position of power, He is not really a negotiator at all.

Sure hope it will happen, the world needs a strong presence and military to retain peace, keep peace, and in keeping the bad actors in check. The days of chicken shit appeasement in being afraid to piss off somebody are over. This gains much more respect than the forked tongue bs speaking, arse kissing dubious pretentious so called world ambassador.....makes me sick.
 
Trump's middle eastern policy so far, is to arm Saudi Arabia to the teeth, and cooperate in their genocidal war in Yemen.

I honestly don't think it's possible to end the war in Ukraine in 'one' day, yet he's much better than the alternative. With the history of peace throughout the world under his first presidency, it's a much better opportunity for peace.

Of course, Biden/Harris administration or whomever it is who controls the strings are assuredly trying to make it impossible simply out of political hatred. With their allowance of supersonic long range missiles with permission to use them deep into Russia and now the usage of land mines with two months till the transition to Trump, it's apparently clear they don't want it to end.

Continuance of war keeps some powerful people happy and financially rewarded. It will be interesting to see it play out along with the left's obstruction towards peace. Should be another interesting four years with the left's false narratives falling by the wayside one after another. Then to watch them contact amnesia with the usage of probable deniability then only to latch onto the next false narrative......always good for a laugh. It'll be another time where they untied the strait jackets and emptied the asylums.
 
I was fascinated to learn that Trump has a two state plan. But I understand Netanyahu opposes atwo state plan. So I'm not sure it's going to go anywhere.

True, Trump holds a grudge against Netanyahu for acknowledging the fact that Biden won the 2020 election, but he must admire his corruption.

Aggressive nations need confronted with aggressive leaders who stand by their words with real actions, take steps without worrying about who they are going to piss off, but get the job done to protect the American People. This garners respect from our enemies plus the incessant need to just talk about our enemies as if they're nothing is a sign of weakness.....Putin just laughs and does what he wants.....proven by the last four years.

Russia, China, and Iran all walked over this administration and they seemed happily to help in their conquests.

Do you think the American public (voters) are too stupid to not see the ridiculousness of this administration the last four years?.....really? At times I wonder if this administration made a behind the scenes deal with these countries, for it sure looked like they were working "with" and "helping" them, instead of the American People.......thank goodness those days are over.

Palestinian can not exist inside the borders of the State of Israel.
