Just talking to friends and their freinds and reading a few posting. Maybe parents will come back to the place in America where we appreciated teachers and the work they do every day in the classroom with 20-30 children at a time. Not to mention all the other responsibilities that go with being a teacher not directly related to in classroom subject matter.

Families might have to actually spend time with eachother. Maybe the realization of what is important.

It's gonna suck and then nothing will change.

Yes families will have lots of time to spend with each other.........as they are laid off and businesses go out of business.

None that I see. It's like war, nobody really wins.

All the schools are closed hallelujah! I live on a street with two schools within 200 yds. of me on what used to be a dead end street until they built 'em. Every morning and every afternoon when the schools let out it's bedlam. They have a huge parking lot for the high schoolers to park their excessively loud hotrods in. Plus if you go out anywhere you're bound to get stuck be behind a school bus that stops 2 or 3 times every couple of miles.

They won't be shut down long and if a business can shutdown for 2 -3 weeks without closing for good it was on Shakey ground to begin with.

You're assuming this is only going to be 2-3 weeks.

Nope but I assume that is the time frame if the Nation is shut down. Oh it might longer or off and on, but initially that would be about right

I like your optimism.

If there's one thing that pisses me off more than "it could have been worse", it's "look for the bright side". Those people should be tazed.

So, what you're saying is that, in the first 2-3 weeks, we'll be shut down 2-3 weeks? Just making sure I get that straight...

Mother, wife, cousin and daughter-in-law were/are teachers. I'm well aware of all the extra time outside of the regular school hours they put in, as well as the money out of their/my pockets to buy classroom supplies.

It's a shame that they aren't as appreciated as they should be.
