Who was it that said something about, "eventually you run out of other people's money"?
Bernie should listen to them.
These people aren't Marxists. They own homes and businesses. They take the highest bid when selling either. When that kid murdered that healthcare CEO, the left cheered him on. This is all evidence as to why Marxism is still relevant today.

My god. I'm not playing this game. You can address my points or move past the postI didn't say they were Marxists, I said Marx is still relevant today.

Look at the title of this thread. The unstated assumption is the rich getting richer makes the rest of us poorer. The capitalists get rich by exploiting the worker. Gains for capital = losses for labor. It's the same toxic pile of shit that's been around for over 150 years now.
Who was it that said something about, "eventually you run out of other people's money"?
Bernie should listen to them.
It's time to tax billionaires into extinction. Redistribute all their wealth to the people. Enough is enough!!
“We shouldn’t have billionaires”—Bernie Sanders says it’s time to tax them into extinction
Senator Bernie Sanders has reignited his call for wealth redistribution by asserting that poverty could be entirely eliminated if billionaires were taxed moresinhalaguide.com
Yeah, Bernie has a $2 million a year income on a Senator’s salary. The rich certainly don’t seem to. They suck every bit of money they can out of the 99% and are never satiated and go after more.
The wonders of ‘democracy’ allow the less rich majority to decide how much the more rich should pay in taxes.
Yeah, Bernie has a $2 million a year income on a Senator’s salary.
Bernie said top 1%. That is $11.6 MILLION of net worth. Maybe Bernie should be clearer because he is definitely in the top 1%.Bernie is talking about billionaires.
That's exactly what's happening. Our economy has been transferring wealth from almost everyone else to the very top for the last 40 years. There's not much left for the billionaire class to suck up.Who was it that said something about, "eventually you run out of other people's money"?
Bernie should listen to them.
It doesn’t seem to be working that way at all.
The rich buy government influence and get rewarded with lower taxes instead of footing the bill for the system that keeps them rich. No one else can afford such an investment in government that is so financially rewarding. We really should be exercising our voting power to make the rich pay their way, but voters are too uninformed, complacent, and encouraged to fight each other to see the true enemy who lords over them.

Read the first link I posted. Bernie’s net worth is $15 MILLION. Not $3M.That amount seems to be a bit dated, but I doubt Bernie (with a net worth of about $3M) is in the top 1%.
What Is the Average Net Worth of the Top 1%?
An American household would have to be worth a minimum of $13.7 million to get into the 1% club. They would need a household income of $591,550. Income disparity is increasing.www.investopedia.com

Bernie Sanders Net Worth in 2025: A Look at the Financial Life of America’s Progressive Senator - Publicist Paper
Bernie Sanders, the long-serving U.S. Senator from Vermont, has built a political career championing the working class and criticizing the influence of billionaires and large corporations. However, despite his progressive rhetoric, Sanders has also amassed significant wealth. As of 2025, his...publicistpaper.com
Guess he really enjoys those private plane flights with AOC.
So that puts Bernie in the top 2%. He is still a “rules for thee, not for me” kind of guy.Your source seems to be an outlier, since most cite his net worth at between $2.5M and $3M.
Bernie used to rail against millionaires until he became a millionaire. Now he just rails against billionaires. It's time to tax billionaires into extinction. Redistribute all their wealth to the people. Enough is enough!!

Bernie is a miserable Commie SOB who would have us all living like the Soviets if he could get away with it.Who was it that said something about, "eventually you run out of other people's money"?

This type of talk by Sanders plays to smaller group of young people who are impressionable. You could eradicate all millionaires and billionaires and the political elite class would continue to thrive and accumulate. Why some voters don't realize this kind of talk is just class warfare being used as a political wedge is beyond me.Bernie used to rail against millionaires until he became a millionaire. Now he just rails against billionaires.
So here’s my counterproposal: We’ll tax billionaires AND millionaires out of existence. That way, we’ll eradicate all the shitty crony Capitalists on the Right and Left in addition to all those Leftist Elitist millionaires like Sanders and Elizabeth Warren so that they, too, can enjoy the fruits of the Socialist ideology that they seek to impose on everyone else.

I agree with this to some degree. If your primary motivation for innovating is wealth, why would you continue innovating if there is no opportunity for greater wealth? Taxing billionaires into oblivion by creating a 100% tax bracket is a bad idea, but what if instead of 100% it was 50%, or even 90%? Would someone lose all motivation to innovate if an opportunity to create something earned them $500 million or $100 million instead of a $1 billion? You must be joking calling the wealthy criminals.
Your economic guru, /s has only held odd jobs outside of his elected position in congress.
As always, Sanders oversimplifies, without noting wealth creation often stems from innovation and that his redistribution policies, or in your words wealth confiscation, could harm rather than help the economy.
Ironically, Sanders became wealthy selling his myopic wealth distribution claptrap to the class envious. Pretty good gig. His books brought Sanders approximately $2.5 million from advances and royalties between 2011 and 2023.
