Bernie Sanders Is Dropping Out of 2020 Democratic Race for President

And you think that is any different then what Democrats have been doing since trump took office.

Bad rubbish are the Republican terrorists that killed Milwaukee Democrats yesterday. Bad rubbish is trump openly stating that the vote for Democrats must be held down at all costs, destroying our Democracy.

The fact that you have to lie to push your nonsense says all one needs to know about you.

Now we can all unite behind ByeDon.

Bound to happen eventually, now all eyes are on what the DNC does.

Yes, Bernie supporters thought the DNC started to work their magic on the Black voter in SC even thought we knew what was going to happen there

the actual Newt quote was from an NPR radio interview in 2005, an unimportant distinction, but the point is, I can't find the source for your saying that Newt, once upon a time, was for single payer?

You're posting a photo of a medical bill with doctor phone numbers and a claim number?

I don't know the significance of that, but, off hand, it doesn't seem wise to me, just as a personal matter, eh?

Buried in time and politics. Newt is never for anything, never was. He was always a mouthpiece for others. He was speaking for the Heritage Foundation, one of the leading conservative think tanks. The motivation was never protection of the working class or poor. Instead, it was one of relieving the corporations of healthcare burdens and costs, and envisioned as an anti union policy removing a negotiating chip. When first lady Hilary barged into congress with her healthcare proposal, the antipathy she create with "How dare she set foot on our turf and tell us what to do," response from both parties removed healthcare from the congressional tables for a decade or so, at the least.

Instead of researching Newt, better to learn more about the Heritage Foundation, however, expect millions of returns. Healthcare was minor objective for them until the ACA proposals, and they were among the most bitter opponents. The wonders accomplished by partisanship over common sense.

In another post, I totally debunked this lie.

Donald Trump's numbers are mediocrity, at best, but on many other dynamics, he's the worst president in history, a fact of which you are blind to.

I can assure you the radical left loves having poorly informed people like you supporting them and making a fool of themselves. I am sure you believe the charts you posted give a true picture of the Obama vs. Trump economy but the reality is context destroys your message and it is context that you want to ignore.

On GDP for example, there are four components of GDP with the number one being consumer spending and another being gov't spending. Consumer spending is what indicates the effects of economic policies, gov't spending is designed to fund discretionary budget items as well as in Obama's case the stimulus. The difference between the Trump GDP and Obama GDP is the stimulus. normally gov't spending is about 35% of our GDP, under Obama it went well over 40% and that is included in those GDP charts you posted. Trump didn't have that stimulus and Trump has equaled Obama's consumer spending number in 3 years. So my question again is how much of the 4.3 trillion dollar Obama GDP dollar growth does that 842 billion stimulus represent??

On Employment, the U-3 rate is labor force minus employment divided by labor force. Included in that labor force are the part time and full time jobs. included in part time jobs are part time for economic reasons or people wanting full time jobs but unable to find them. Below is a chart showing those Obama numbers. Those jobs skew the official U-3 rate and that is what you want to ignore. You also want to ignore that with a Democratic Congress the employment was 146 million, first quarter 2008. At the end of the Obama term there were 152 million employed or 6 million jobs created in 9 years, yes not all Obama's but the record was set and that was the base not the 142 million he inherited. In fact in 2009 that employment number went from 142 million down to 138 million and in 2010 it only came back up to 139 million. The stimulus for shovel ready jobs was signed in February 2009. Discouraged workers also impact the unemployment rate thus making the U-3 irrelevant when considering economic results. the U-6 rate never got back to pre recession levels under Obama and that is what the American people felt.

Hope you learned context here, and oh by the way these numbers are through February 2020 before the coronavirus.

He has a better chance than Comrade Sanders.

Yes he does however does anyone believe that the Sanders supporters are going to enthusiastically support Biden and show up at the polls?

Thank you Bernie, for doing a lot to reshape the Democratic platform

LOL, yes, Bernie Sanders has reshaped the entire Democratic Platform by promoting socialism something this country will never accept but is needed by a lot of people in this forum who cannot compete in the private sector. Anyone who believes that Sanders had the resume to be President is part of the problem today, total ignorance of the private sector, incentive, and handling of individual personal responsibility issues.

AS for the election is there anyone here who believes that the Sanders supporters are going to enthusiastically support Biden and show up at the polls? Thank you Democrats for giving us Four more years of Trump as your ideology of politics of personal destruction, class envy, jealousy, hate isn't an agenda that the American people will ever fully embrace

And you think that is any different then what Democrats have been doing since trump took office.
It's just a little reminder to all those with amnesia that are whining and crying about their mob boss being picked on.

Democrats are now like... "Uhhh... wait, you mean Biden is all we have left? Uh oh."

LOL! This is funny, coming from the party who's single most important thing to achieve was to make President Trump LESS than even a one term President.

There is no "negotiation" with providers, that's a myth that progressives propagate. Medical pricing under Medicare is be set by a group of greedy doctors:

Specialty Society Relative Value Scale Update Committee - Wikipedia

If anything, prices will go way up if medicare for all is implemented.

Vote for Biden if you don't want Trump.

Tribalism. The far left hates the left more than they hate the right. This is hardly a secret.

Really? No negotiating with drug companies, medical supply companies, hospital's over inflated charges, radiology imaging companies, etal?

Well welcome to the party. Our current medicare does exactly that. 10 years ago those little self testing machines for blood sugar cost $150 each, the testing strips $100 for 25. Now the machines cost $15-25, as low as $5 and the testing strips $15 for 50 thanks to medicare negotiations. No private hospital can afford to reject medicare patients, and medicare negotiates contracts at 20% or less than what the hospital bill. But you know better, right?

It is not a myth that progressives propagate. Doctors have to keep extraneous staff on salary to contend with all the different insurance forms for permissions and claims. One simple form can eliminate that salary. That means lower costs to the doctors, lower costs to the patients. Simple math no genius needed to understand. Remedial arithmetic is in your future. You can thank medicare for forcing down MRI charges, costs for crutches, wheelchairs, bandages, aspirin, and and so on and on and on......

1991 cost of an aspirin on a hospitable bill $25, 2020 25¢. Thank you medicare.

Bernie's reshaping the Dem party is that he pushed it closer to FDR style policies.

The right has been accusing that style of governance as 'socialism' for decades now.

And America did, indeed, embrace that style of governance, which put a lot of people back to work, lifted the morale of the nation, and got us out of the huge ditch ( the stock market crash and the ensuing depression ) that the right drove us into. Dems did this again in 2008, obama got us out of the ditch that the right drove us into. That style of governance has broad support among the majority of the electorate.

But, when anyone attempts to point out to the successes of those policies, what do the right say?

"That's not socialism".

Make up your ****ing minds. You guys have been calling such policies 'socialism' for decades, so when guy like Bernie comes along, and say, okay, you win, I'll accept your new definition, FDR and netherland style policies --- it's socialism, so I'm democratic socialist, what do the right say then? "Bernie's a communist". Give me a ****ing break.

Nobody is going to dismantle the private sector, that is a right wing bugaboo boogeyman, fearmongering, "bernie's going to make the government take over your pizza parlor" give me a ****ing break. There's no winning with you guys.

In the mean time, as for Biden, he'll win for one big reason:

Trump exhaustion. A majority of the electorate are totally completely utterly SICK of him.

That's probably why my meds, costing $124 bucks in America, are 50 cents in Cuba, or $5 in Canada,

As for your 'committee', if M4A is implemented, I doubt those guys are going to be the controllers,

No, what he is doing is making fools out of people like you as this public servant for decades with zero private sector experience has you convinced he has the answers when the reality is he is part of the problem. This country will never elect a socialist and how someone like who I believe is a photographer in the private sector can support someone who takes over your personal responsibility issues is beyond comprehension

I have made up my mind, your state is a fiscal disaster as evidenced by the results that you want to ignore and make excuses for. the tent cities of homeless, high numbers in poverty, worst pollution in the nation, highest cost of living, highest taxes, more illegals and benefits for the top never getting to the bottom is pure liberalism

No one is going to dismantle the private sector, incrementalism is what is happening and when it does happen it will be too late to say you are sorry.

I don't think you have any idea what the majority in this country think as you are totally clueless as to what is going on around you. Results matter and you totally ignored the results I gave you with context. People will always vote their pocketbooks and that assures Trump's re-election. there is no enthusiasm for Biden and Sanders supporters won't be going to the polls in support.

You are just repeating yourself.

I've debunked all of it, sorry.

You results are bunk, you are not focused on what matters, what matters is that Trump is a mediocrity
and a threat, not only to this nation's health, but is a threat to national security.

With Trump, we have creeping fascism, to wit:

1. Powerful and continuing nationalism
2. Disdain for human rights
3. Identification of enemies as a unifying cause
4. Rampant sexism
5. Controlled mass media
6. Obsession with national security
7. Religion and government intertwined
8. Corporate power protected
9. Labor power suppressed
10. Disdain for intellectual and the arts
11. Obsession with crime and punishment
12. Rampant cronyism and corruption

I'll add

13. Obsession with secrecy
14. Watering down the constitution and abandonment of rule of law
15. Calling the free press the 'enemy of the people'.

(source The 12 Early Warning Signs of Fascism | Washington Monthly )

Compared to Trump's creeping fascism, all other concerns are moot.

Yeah, we know that about Newt, but..

Wait a minute, you made a claim that Newt, in 1993, was for single payer.

I was just looking for the source of that claim.

You have it, or not? I'll even accept if the Heritage foundation at one time supported it?
