When he said he was a socialist... if you're rich, you stole that from others, you oppressed someone, it's not FAIR you have big house when someone out there does not. Imagine if we spread wealth equally!

For his part, Sanders displays an equally religious ferocity when attacking sinners (the rich) and denouncing their sin (greed). Not only does he hate the rich for being rich; he hates the rich for wanting to be rich. Rather than letting people exercise their greed, Sanders wants to exorcise it-an impossible task, as most socialist enterprises are.

The Sanders family recently sold a lake house in Maine that had been passed down from O'Meara's side of the family. The sale enabled them to buy the new home, much closer to their Green Mountain State residence. North Hero, which is one of the islands, has a population of 1,000 people.

Saw that on the local news. I know exactly where this house is. Beautiful area.
I don't begrudge him a summer home. That said, I think the optics aren't very good here, and it may have been wiser to either buy it in his kids' names so it may not have been noticed, or just wait a while. A $600,000 primary residence is out of reach of most Americans, forget a third home worth that. It's not really what Bernie stands for.
