He's no worse than any other American politician. They're all fools and clowns who do nothing useful. I'd sooner support the man who actively prioritizes the working class, rather than the people who I know will do NOTHING to help. That he's a socialist clown with an inability to see the inherent danger that comes from excessive centralization of political authority?
Absolutely.
They’ll continue to appeal to the same crowd they’ve always appealed to. Getting new members to join the bandwagon will be tough. But the Democratic Party will still be fractured and leaderless.Sanders and AOC will make plenty of noise, and honestly do a good job at working up the some of the voters based on *the very subjects* they ignored in 2024.
I watched the NEWSNATION coverage of Bernie Sanders and AOC. Given the predicament the Democratic Party is in I thought maybe I’d hear something newsworthy from them. Actually I wasn’t surprised when they sang the same old song and presented absolutely nothing new to the sycophantics who lapped it up. The same old socialist rattrap Bernie’s been using for 50 years.
Good for you. Go for it.Was there any talk of REALLLLY radical Socialist stuff like Healthcare For All?
Because I could REALLY go for that!!
The Democratic party needs to die. They have nothing useful to offer anyone. Once we move their bloated carcass out of the way, then we'll have room for fresh ideas and new faces. They’ll continue to appeal to the same crowd they’ve always appealed to. Getting new members to join the bandwagon will be tough. But the Democratic Party will still be fractured and leaderless.

And I'd rather support someone who prioritizes liberty. He's no worse than any other American politician. They're all fools and clowns who do nothing useful. I'd sooner support the man who actively prioritizes the working class, rather than the people who I know will do NOTHING to help.
Like who?And I'd rather support someone who prioritizes liberty.
Honestly, I can't name a likely (or even possible) party nominee at this point whom I could wholeheartedly support. The concept of personal liberty and limited government isn't fashionable in either party right now.Like who?
Then I have no choice but to support Bernie Sanders and AOC, because they're the only ones championing the working class issues that I care about. Or would you rather I wait around another twenty years for a better candidate that probably doesn't exist?Honestly, I can't name a likely (or even possible) party nominee at this point whom I could wholeheartedly support. The concept of personal liberty and limited government isn't fashionable in either party right now.
Good to hear from an 'independent' to the right of the far right.I watched the NEWSNATION coverage of Bernie Sanders and AOC. Given the predicament the Democratic Party is in I thought maybe I’d hear something newsworthy from them. Actually I wasn’t surprised when they sang the same old song and presented absolutely nothing new to the sycophantics who lapped it up. It's nice to see a topic you aren't indoctrinated on which you can see better.Exactly. Laziness and delay could most certainly lead to that leadership vacuum being filled. I was quite surprised by a video of a recent Bernie/AOC event in AZ. I'd say they are very actively working to fill that void. The participation was huge and energetic and would indicate to me they are quite successfully filling that void. It's going to quickly become harder and harder for a person like Clyburn to step in and interfere with or stop that kind of momentum.
The 'same old socialist claptrap' FDR spewed. Why do you demand they say something new? Have the needs and interests of the American people changed? What's changed is the fanaticism on the right, but the solutions haven't changed. It's the same democracy versus oligarchy war, it's just escalated, and it's clear you're on the side of oligarchy.I watched the NEWSNATION coverage of Bernie Sanders and AOC. Given the predicament the Democratic Party is in I thought maybe I’d hear something newsworthy from them. Actually I wasn’t surprised when they sang the same old song and presented absolutely nothing new to the sycophantics who lapped it up. Hopefully, since the country needs Bernie/AOC, not Clyburn.Exactly. Laziness and delay could most certainly lead to that leadership vacuum being filled. For you and @Craig234: because they’re trying to sell an Edsel to people who would rather have a much newer, classier, model that fits their lifestyle and expectations. What did Bernie Sanders say that you found so self-evidently wrong that you felt there was no need to even write a disputation?
For you and @Craig234: because they’re trying to sell an Edsel to people who would rather have a much newer, classier, model that fits their lifestyle and expectations.
Do you honestly not know what a Edsel is?Wishful thinking on your part will not change the minds of millions of people from a wing of the party who attract a fraction of the voting public. Maybe someday in the future the American public will be receptive to a socialist agenda and be willing to pay more taxes to support it , but not in today’s USA.Again, those are vague, glittering generalities, gman. You might as well have said "They want to sell us on bad things instead of good things." What is the Edsel? Guaranteed medical coverage for all citizens? Not having billionaires or boards of directors funnel millions of dollars into state and federal elections to practically buy them outright? What are we talking about here?
What are you talking aboutFor you and @Craig234: because they’re trying to sell an Edsel to people who would rather have a much newer, classier, model that fits their lifestyle and expectations.
Just comparing what Bernie and AOC are still trying to sell to the American people (Edsel) compared to a newer classier car. What are you talking about
If the Democrats are not careful, their party's leadership vacuum will be filled by their party's idiots.
That's totally wrong, though. It's like saying fruits and vegetables are an edsel and sodas are newer and classier and better. You sound like you fell for billions of marketing for oligarchy and don't get what good policies are, that are better for the public.Just comparing what Bernie and AOC are still trying to sell to the American people (Edsel) compared to a newer classier car.
