The European Commission, that is. The Commission is made up of 27 capos, and Ursula von der Leyen is the capo di tutti capi, For months, if not years, the Commission has had its eyes on Russian assets held around Europe. A mouth watering sum. Some $200 billion solid dollars. More than enough to tempt the devil, let alone the Commission which has been bleeding billions of dollars monthly, in the war in Ukraine against the Vladimir crime family. The Russian capo has proven to be an endless headache! A possible solution is to invite him to take a seat in the Commission, where he can be controlled, but no one trusts him. So he is banned from the Commission, but has been no less a headache outside the Commission.

And what is it all about? Its about the Kyiv crime family. Why the Commission wants the corrupt capo of Kyiv baffles the world. The capo of Kyiv dwarfs the capo of Moscow when it comes to corruption, theft, treachery, untrustworthiness. Why would the Commission want to saddle itself with such a basket case??? Propping him up has sent many a capo in the Commission into bankruptcy and out of office. Boris the capo of London lost his seat. Olaf the capo of Berlin, gone. The capo of Paris on the ropes. Yet the Commission in Bruxelles stubbornly persists. La Donna di tutti capi, Ursula von der Leyen, says it is the principle. The capo of Moscow cannot be allowed to win. If the capo of Moscow wins, the power of the Commission is gone; no one will respect the Commission ever.

So why not seize the capo of Moscow's egg nest? It could soothe a lot of bruises.

But today Belgium threw a spanner in the works. Belgium is categorically against the consfiscation. But why did it take Belgium so long to take a firm position? Shirely the Belgians knew all along they were not gonna consfiscate. Why? Not because it is not legal, as most of the Eu members claim. The Belgians were frank this time: its bad for business.

In the Commission, the capos who have called out loudest for confiscation are the ones holding no Russian assets. Of note are the Three Baltic Midgets, the Poles and His Britannic Majesty. The most reluctant to confiscate are those with big Russian holdings. The Belgian capo the biggest holder.

There's some $200 billions plus Russian assets held around Europe; of this the Belgians are reputed to hold some $180 billions. Keep in mind it is all business. The Belgian capo in all likelihood makes a tidy sum from fees and commissions. It also means the Belgian capo has a good reputation as a good fence and banker. He as much as said so today. If he starts confiscating assets his reputation as a reliable fence will evaporate. Its not public, but in all likelihood the Belgian capo is also holding humongous loots from the Gulf capos, African capos, South American capos for safekeeping. What happens when rumours make the round that he is confiscating loot? They will all take their loot elsewhere! Meaning he will not only lose the fees and commissions from the Russian capo, but that of the other ruffians as well. Not good. Not good at all.

This development has to come as a big disappointment to the corrupt capo of Kyiv. Time after time the Donna di tutti capi, von der Leyen, has promised him that she will confiscate the loot and hand over to him. It was repeated so many times that the corrupt capo had come to treat it as a debt owed to him by the Commission.

What happens then to the frozen Russian assets?

Prévot told Euronews' the Europe Conversation that his government remains resolutely opposed to the idea – despite a statement by European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen reopening the matter a few days ago while in Estonia.

"Frankly speaking... confiscating those Russian sovereign assets is really not an option for Belgium," he said.

"It would be a very bad signal to other countries worldwide. Some of them also have assets, sovereign assets in Brussels or in other places in Europe," he said.

He said the government has "considered" confiscating the immobilised assets and concluded that the impact would "erode" confidence and trust in the euro.

It could "create huge bad impact, systemic consequences for the credibility of the European financial services" he said.

enjoyed your writing style..say it any way one wants to. Kyiv is corrupt - not as much as Russia but enough for the USA to not touch it with a 10 foot pole

Just the gap between Trump's estimate of billions sent and Z's estimate of billions received says it all. Also recall that a short while ago Z made a big play to bring under Presidential control two anti corruption bodies

Yes, Trump has a sparkling record for truth and honest dealings, so let's believe him. 🤦

Oh I forgot that part. Ukr has no way to track how much money they stole gotten according to the fog of war
And the USA never did bother to track accountability..just shovel it out

ROFL.. for what? to reduce the number of anti-corruption parties?
Z feeds this crap to the willing press who regurgitate thru the media like penguins to their young

Similar to Hungary and Slovakia regarding EU santions on Russia, Belgium will come around.

They always do.

Putin is trying by means of military force to change the borders in Europe for the first time since World War II when Hitler had his hellbent time at it. Even though Russia lost 25 million civilian and military lives fighting this, Russia now is trying what Hitler tried back then at a great human cost to Western populations and civilization. Russian elites don't learn because in their genes they are the never changing barbarian class of history. This presence in society is persistent and pervasive.

Turkey changed Cyprus' border by means of military force. Serbia's borders were changed by means of military force by Nato/Eu. Russia set no precedence. And outside Europe western countries have assaulted third world countries way more than Russia.

And what is so sacrosanct about European borders as to exempt them from forceful change?

So Nato/Eu was playing it from Hitler's playbook when it amputated Serbia without anesthesia?
