Being pragmatic is not a strenth of the right wing.


How is hating Obama from the first day pragmatic. They have said no to everything even thing they where for just to go against Obama. I don't know what motivates the right to hate Obama so bad. They hated Clinton for sure but worked with him. Why won't they work with this president on anything. It is funny to hear Boehner say they want to bargen when they never wanted to bargen before. If the conservatives did not have the repeal obsession they could have worked with the dem's to make the ACA better but the only ideas they could think of is the same old bashing trial lawers and deregulation of health care sales. I am not sure those would have adressed 40 million people without insurance.
 
I do know what motivates the right to hate Obama so bad..
And it started the night of the 2008 election with Eric Cantor the Cancer and his Kabal meeting to do everything they could to destroy Obama..
This 60-month tyrannical sabotage has prevented a full economic recovery.
 

They decided the president would get no victory if they could help it. This came at a very bad time becuse the economy was going in the tank and we needed both parties to work together but they could not get past the fact he was black,had an Islamic name and was a liberal.

Yes, I realize the government won't allow young people to opt-out of Social Security if they don't desire to take part in it.
 
As a matter of course, I put people who use the term "Tea Bagger" on ignore, and I recommend that everyone else does so as well.

Did you hear what those tea bagger nuts where saying about the president yesterday? He was too busy bowing to Allah to worry about vet's. Louie Gohmert is saying he was not an American. Michele Bachmann saying he was a Muslim and a socialist. All of this on 10-14-13. How is telling the truth a dumbass liberal talking point. Untill the GOP reels in these morons you are going to have to answer for them. Get over it.
 

The "truth" you were supposedly telling was not about people saying stupid stuff...it was about people "hating" Obama.

When are you going to stick to one thing...pragmatism being the topic of this...your...thread? Do you think you are making a valid argument by jumping around from one thing to another?
 

It is not Pragmatic to have the nutjobs spewing. Us on the left have controled our nut's while the right has not. That stupid stuff is a symtom of hating Obama for that Satan himself. You know that is fact. Even Satan influences some killer metal music. Obama is not all bad and niether was GW Bush. This all or nothing attitude is going to dstroy us all.
 

My point is social conservatives and law and order conservatives are not very pragmatic. They cling to the status quo on laws even if the law is wrong. The ban against iner racial marriage is a perfect example. Even though we all knew the law was racist 64% of American's where for the ban and most where conservatives. Pragmatic people would say to each their own or it is none of my business. The same is true with gay marriage and legal pot. The left is not always pragmatic but they are the majority and that does make them more pragmatic. It helps keep them in power.
 

Still having problems with the term, "pragmatic", eh? In any case, I think it's better having a wide range of viewpoints...even if I disagree with some of them...that desiring to control people as you like.

Not sure what all your "Satan" talk is all about. I don't think about Satan very much.

Obama IS bad for our country...even worse than Bush. And since when, with your over the top, anti-Republican rhetoric have you ever been concerned about something destroying us all? Or is it just that you want to get rid of the Republicans so you have your way?
 

In your OP, you made the case that Republicans are not being pragmatic because of their stand on Obamacare and the government shutdown. I guess that didn't work for you because now you are talking about social issues...but you still don't understand how to use the term, "pragmatic". Your sentence that I highlighted...and everything that follows it...is at odds with the definition of pragmatic.

I respect some of the more moderate(By todays standards) GOP members like Peter King even though I disagree with him on most things. I do not respect Louie Gohmert,Steve King,Michele Bachmann,Jim Dement or any other far right wacko's and like it or not my friend these freaks are the voice of your party. Until that changes your side is screwed.

upon its passing was just a massive lie. It was supposed to lower cost and premiums and "insure 30 million Americans" and its been an absolute failure.

The Democrats appeal to the idiots, they appeal to the easily manipulated and the state of our economy and our Country shows the damage that can be caused when th least common denominator is allowed to chose our countries path.

And then you have hacks and mouth pieces like the guy that started the OP.

Who exist for the sole reason to perpetuate left wing talking points at the expense of truth and integrity.

The Democats built their empire on a land fill, and they are running out of time.

Their ideas and policies have historically created misery and dependance, and people can only put up with that for so long.
