This is going to be a tough go with China . I wonder if Trump has gotten the message that bullying Xi won't work. I wonder what tariff level China will demand before there are talks. Of course Trump will say it was his idea but it will be a Xi demand.

No matter how bad a deal we wind up with Trump will claim it is a great victory and his idiot Red Hats will belive him.

As of this morning he has a 45% approval rating. It is shocking to think how stupid Americans are.

It's all fake news and conspericy until it happens. Then its: I knew it all along and I predicted this. This is why some people get rich in the stock markets and others do not.

Until what happens?

Trump folds, or the economy finishes collapsing?

The last trade deal Trump "negotiated" with China took 20 months to happen. Due to Trump's stupidity, we have weeks left before COVID-like shortages hit retailers shelves.
Bet your "prediction" did not calculate those facts.

Magically, Trump will have factories built and operational in days, not years. China will surrender and offer negative tariffs on all goods.
And we will all be rich beyond our wildest dreams. ;):ROFLMAO:

Don’t support China But Trump completely ****ed up as everyone knew he would (who has a brain).

What incentive does China have to come to the table?

You’re only a couple of weeks away from a supply shock, why wouldnt they show you the meaning of FAFO?

If I was them, that’s what I would do.

Trump voters don’t understand why things work in our world, it’s time to show them what happens when you break things for no good reason.

The big mistake here was trying to show up China. Culturally, that's very poor form in their culture, and now they're in miànzi (saving face) mode and aren't going to be happy until they are treated as equals by this administration. Now, that doesn't mean there aren't legitimate issues to settle in regards to trade, but insulting your trading partner is not an effective way to lead off. The advantages China has is they've worked to being less reliant on the US, holding US debt, and tied any economic hardship as a result of a trade war with the US into a nationalistic issue. Had the US gone about this diplomatically and with its allies, the US would have gone in with more leverage. Clearly the Chinese government is less concerned about decorum now in regards to Trump. "The Art of the Deal" I suppose.
;)

Has he announced a single deal since he said that?
You do realize it does not matter, right?

First, it is a joke that we were being taken advantage of for 50 years. Insane that the cultists believe this. Trump made this an issue, it was not, is not an issue.
He did the same with immigration in 2016. Still waiting on that wall or action from Congress which is the real key to solving the influx.

The stupidity of the "Hats" is amazing. Led to slaughter by the big bad wolf himself.

He's collected $700 trillion in tariffs he claims.

If that was true it would represent a 33% tax increase, since Americans pay the tariffs.
Red Hats don't understand this.

Retailers need to start marking the price increases on their products as tariff inflated price and the amount, like we list ingredients.

Sadly, Trump has alienated every single ally. Nobody big is rushing to make a deal because the situation is so volatile and they don't trust Trump. Yesterday Trump threatened to reinstate his "reciprocal" tariffs unless countries made deals. You would have thought he would have learned a lesson the first time around.

The problem is that what Trump is asking for is stupid. How can anyone negotiate if the ask doesn't make a lot of sense?
