The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) on Sept. 8 urged a federal judge to stay part of her recent special master order, arguing that the government should be able to continue accessing the records marked classified that were seized from former President Donald Trump’s home last month.

Ah go ahead...keep avoiding the obvious. The FBI exercised an authorized search warrant and found National Security Information at Mar-a-lago. Unless you are prepared to argue that the information grew legs and hitchhiked to Mar-a-lago and stacked itself in the basement and in Trump's office and in his desk, there is a problem with that.

So whining that the "Justice Department is being weaponized" is just exposing your PROPAGANDIST intentions or more than suggestive that you are a few sandwiches short of a full picnic basket.

It’s being weaponized. The cloud of suspicion hanging over the DOJ is clear as they would not be as aggressive. This is hardly a crisis.
 
Hell yeah the DOJ should just stop investigating if there are missing top secret documents, where they may have gone, who may have seen them! Has the right totally lost their f'ing minds when it comes to national security in their devotion to Trump? This issue is bloody important!!!!!!

They weren't aggressive at all. They spent a year asking nicely. When they didn't get the documents asked for, they went into Mar-a-Lago in plain clothes and retrieved them without incident.

It was Donald Trump himself who publicized it and made a big deal out of it. This is what happens when you refuse to return property that is not yours. People ask nicely, then they send the police to get it from you and the police decide whether to charge you with a crime or not.
 
You realize that this will have no bearing on his guilt, right? He still was caught with classified documents and all the special master will do is make sure his personal documents are not included in the indictment when it comes down. Not sure why you're having an orgasm over a special master, it only delays the inevitable.

The DOJ is generously and compassionately giving an idiot judge an exit from her absurd ruling before she faces an utter smack down from a higher court.

Haaaaaa, not for a dedicated Putinite its not. That you have adopted the usual "nothing to see here" over National Security Information being in Mar-a-lago is not a surprise.
 
The judge is under the impression that there is a separation of powers issue between the DOJ and the former president.

She is under the impression that a private citizen has executive privilege.

She seems not aware of the Supreme Court decision that executive privilege does not hold in a criminal investigation.
