This story is important because while robots have been replacing low skill jobs for years, this robot is performing a highly paid, high skill task - surgery - with a 100% success rate. Replacing human surgeons with machines like this could yield enormous benefits, the biggest being potentially universal access to world class surgical care. I got a robot assisted prostetectomy. For prostate cancer

It was kind of amazing. They poked a couple of holes, but no incision. I drove my self home the next morning, didnt miss a day of work.
