Anning, a former soldier and publican from Queensland and ex-member of the far right One Nation party, reignited Australia’s always simmering race debate with calls to ban immigration for Muslims and non-English speakers, and return to the “White Australia” policy of the 1950s.
He controversially claimed that a plebiscite would be a “final solution” to the nation’s immigration “problem.” Afterwards, Anning incredulously claimed he had no idea that “final solution” was a term used by Nazi Germany for its holocaust against Jews during World War II.
Australia's Alt-right wants 'final solution' to Muslim migration | Asia Times
What to believe
So did the Australian school system fail this guy, or is he an admirer of someone from WW2
Bob Katter, the veteran Queensland political maverick, has lauded an inflammatory speech by his Senate representative, Fraser Anning, declaring the contribution “absolutely magnificent” and “everything that this country should be doing”.
No, he is a queenslander. They aren't called the banana bender state for nothing.
He has the backing of political leaders so it is not just him but a racist policy of many in queensland..

Keep in mind that queenslands policy is to teach creationism in schools. They really are that backwards.

This is a hot potato discussion that is constrained by strict posting rules.
I think that I am allowed to say the following:
1. Some people believe in a nation being homogeneous in its ethnicity.
2. Some people believe in a nation being heterogeneous in its ethnicity.
3. We should respect the right of people to express their views without demonizing either school of thought.
4. Since Australia is a democracy, the voters will have the final word.
5. I wish Australian voters the best of luck in making their decision.
It was implemented by the Australian Labor Party to create a favorable environment for Aussie workers by eliminating Asian laborers. I think students should be welcomed to benefit the ELS industry but Asian workers can be severely restricted. Australia doesn't have to import tens of thousands of Asian workers annually only for the sake of promoting multiculturalism, which is what's going on. When it gets too far, there will be a voter backlash, especially in Queensland, the heartland of Pauline Hanson's One Nation.
