The ABC’s political editor Chris Uhlmann said there was an online “vigilante mob” who loved to attack him for what they perceive as his rightwing bias.
“Quite frankly, there is now this vigilante mob that exists online, that basically congregates the minute it smells blood,” Uhlmann told Guardian Australia after he was criticised for linking the South Australian blackout to the state’s use of renewable energy.
“For whatever reason, years ago, they decided that in their estimation I was too conservative to be on the ABC. Isn’t that the bottom line, that these people think that?”

Complaints have historically been split evenly between right and left viewer who feel their team is hard done by Aunty. During the 2003 invasion of Iraq there were 147 complaints of pro-US coverage and 144 complaints of anti-US coverage. On this Wayne Errington and Narelle Miragliotta wrote in 2011, "there appears not to be any factual evidence to back the claim of left-wing bias" at the ABC.

Uhlmann was spot on. Some of the comments were good, too.
"G-19 + 1 misfit...
Sure looks like Trump is isolating America and abdicating US status and power in the world to China and Russia. Imo...that just seems to be the opposite of making America great again.

It's a news report from Twitter. As cold clinical an analysis as I've seen.

President Trump, at the start of his meeting Saturday in Germany with Chinese President Xi Jinping, called the Asian nation a “great trading partner” and said the increasing North Korea nuclear threat will eventually be resolved “one way or the other.”

No doubt J Edgar Hoover would've had a dossier on him...but whether he could convince the people that need convincing that Trump was a lying, corrupt fraud is another story.Imagine if trump were president during the 1930s with his love of right wing strong men .

He looks like he is reading something, while everyone else is ****ing off.

Yeah...he's reading his Twitter feed while everyone else are making "deals" without him.
No one is making deals in that picture.

This Aussie commentator is known for his right-wing bias and I don't know why he cannot find common ground with President Trump. The ABC is not like MSNBC or CNN which blindly attack President Trump but the Aussie media is generally anti-American.
First you say Chris Uhlmann is RIGHT WING,then go on to say Australia, the Aussie media(which he is) are Anti-American(which they are not, they just slice through the Bull Sh*t and tell it like it is...FACT) Third Term, which is it,you cannot have it both ways, just sayin...steve
Right wing doesn't mean pro-American. In Australia, pro-Americanism is a central position, it's the wings of both sides that are anti-American.

Where's pro-Trumpism? Still central?

It doesn't really exist in any meaningful way over here. The vast majority fall between "he's a nazi antichrist" to "he can't be all bad, we'll see how he does"

That audio of your prime minister mocking him was pretty rich.
Over here we lean toward the nazi antichrist school of thought. But we don't have the benefit of an ocean's worth of insulation. We always are aware of how we could be swamped under the American culture and economy.
