The headline: At least 2 killed, 6 others injured in shooting at Memphis block party, police say.

The lede: (CNN — Two people were killed and at least six others were injured in a block party shooting in Memphis, Tennessee, late Saturday, police said.
Police believe at least two people opened fire at the party, where up to 300 people were gathered, Memphis Police Chief C.J. Davis said.

Guns in the news again.

Few deaths by gunshot make the major news pages. This one did.

Death by gunshot is one of the leading causes of death among our youth.

A top Memphis cop recently admitted that crime is out of control in that city.

Cops have several reasons to call for more cops to be employed:
  1. Individually they're more respected if crime falls
  2. Individually they're safer with more cops to respond to reports
  3. Individually their chances of promotion increase when junior officers are recruited
Cops aren't the best source for whether crime is "out of control." Records of prosecution are better, but you just have to accept that there's a lag in reporting.
 
One of these days someone will ask those who are using the phrase 'Out of control' just what they mean, specifically.

I wonder what the OP’s rational is starting all these posts about criminal activity.

These youths have every opportunity available to them, all they have to do is not be a criminal and write your name on the university application and they will take them.

They have the benefit of being born into a First World Nation, free education, free hospital/medical care, etc.

Just about every advantage available in the First World.

Yet, they CHOOSE to act like this.

This is the product of liberalism. Plain and simple. They can’t go to college because they have almost no education. They care about nothing except themselves.

This will only get worse as the millions of illegals invading our country begin to contribute.
 
As for the OP…..if he focused as much energy on the real problem, liberalism, instead of his manufactured problem of guns, perhaps change will happen one day.
 
Democrats do not care about shootings like this - black on black gang violence - because it doesn't pull the proper heartstrings.
