Fair enough, Josie. But if you and I were agree on this subject (and I do agree) and say "Hey, so long as the family members of drug cartel bosses are thoroughly vetted and pose no danger" then I would just take the next logical step and advocate for everyone to be allowed into the United States who is thoroughly vetted and poses no danger. And to be clear, if
adult family members of the leader of a designated terrorist organization can pass that test, I would say 99.99% of all people wanting to move into the United States could. And because I am pro-immigration, I would want them welcomed in by those same standards. I want as many people who want to move to the United States and make a life for themselves to move in and contribute to our great nation to be able to do so. Again, so long as they are no more dangerous than the average adult family members of a terrorist organization's leader, that is.
That would certainly cover the people I care about, i.e., Afghan refugees, Haitian refugees, Ukrainian refugees, and millions of others from across the world yearning for safety, freedom and prosperity.
