Assad committed many atrocities such as a wholesale bombing and killing of thousands upon thousands of innocent civilians with assistance from Putin's Russian Air Force. In addition, entire towns where the rebels supposedly lived were leveled to dust. He bombed hospitals and schools. Most of the world was outraged by his atrocities towards his own people.
And while we speak, Netanyahu has okayed his Air Force to bomb and kill innocent civilians pretty much at will, and that Air Force has also basically leveled the entire area of Gaza and bombs hospitals, schools, and relief supply trucks almost daily. So what is the difference between Assad and Netanyahu. Not much that I can see. Both, at this point, are war criminals who oversaw or are overseeing the killing of thousands and the almost total destruction of infrastructure. The only difference is that Assad did it to his own people (who he considered enemies) while Netanyahu is doing it to Palestinians (who he considers enemies). Both are atrocities of the worst sort.

Easy. Assad is cool and has a beautiful wife while Netanyahou is a gross psychopath

Nah, all Assad had to do was start mewing to grow his jawline. But otherwise, total winner
I disagree. Assad abandoned his people without even an address. After over a decade of fighting, he fled in exile without a peep. Perfectly in line with the contemporary Arab's nature, which is to surrender and let Western powers have their way with them, but a far cry from the chad Ba'athists like Saddam or the 'King of Aura' Gaddafi.

However, I humbly bow my head in reverence to Assad's extremely hot wife.

Gaddaffi got raped in the ass and dumped on the street.

Yes Assad should have addressed the nation, but what happened was that his army stopped fighting.

Hm, yes. Although we have to say that the courage required to stare down sodomization by a crowd of angry peasants and face it head on is substantial.

I'm not going to discount Assad's memetic potential, but he was ultimately a kleptocrat that couldn't stand up to the challenges of his time and poorly navigated the challenges he faced.

I revere Napoleon, Bismarck, and Frederick the Great - conquerors and leaders of men. Assad is just another unremarkable tin pot dictator from the Arab world.

Yeah Assad is not a Napoleon but I will still miss him

I think Assad never considered all the people of Syria his people, probably only his fellow Alawites. And there is the crux with multi- ethnic and multi- faith countries like Syria. Are they all your people or are your people just those of the same ethnicity and faith?

Appears to be a clear confirmation that some men think only with their gonads.:p

No matter how good she looks, she's a witch. As are all the women in the Assad mafia clan and that's not even mentioning the guys in that corrupted family.

It’s just a bit of joking around. Take the stick out of your ass.

What it shows is the massive hypocrisy of the West and the talk about " western values" etc is just a PR stunt to dupe the gullible in their countries to support whatever their own state and its allies get up to.

What you don't see any mention of in the MSM coverage here is that the West sent many people to Assads torture prisons under the extraordinary rendition programme.

one side usually has a tad more "right" behind it if judge by an international court

And the rights appear to be heavily slanted towards the Palestinian side in this conflict as per the international experts that have studied this and given their opinions.
