As a government shutdown nears, Trump cancels a meeting with Democrats.

Chuck Schumer is holding the American Taxpayers hostage for more money again.
How many times has Chuck Schumer done this now?
Has it been 5 or 6 times?

Trump has never been able to negotiate.

He can only bully (using his daddy's money or our CENTGOV).

Democrats aren't to be reasoned with. They're to be defeated.

...President Trump, in a lengthy post on Truth Social, said he would not meet with Democratic congressional leaders amid negotiations over funding the government. He railed against the Democratic Party and said “there are consequences to losing Elections.”

In the same post, Trump said he was open to meeting with Democrats “if they get serious about the future of our Nation."...

And there are consequences to winning elections: you're supposed to govern.

Democrats aren't to be reasoned with. They're to be defeated.
Silly statement that, unfortunately, seems to be prevalent among the Republicans who control Congress and the WH - and who will be responsible and accountable for any shutdown.

Responsible for what exactly ?

You're asking the wrong question. Why is a federal shut down bad? Why have we become so dependent on a federal government? Why is the government adding 1T to the debt every 100 days? What does the government *really* need to do? Why do congresspeople become millionaires after being elected? Why are the zip codes surrounding Washington DC some of the highest in the country?

No, I asked YOU a question, based on what YOU wrote in Post #33:

Why do YOU think a government shut down is "fine"?

If you don't have a reason for your attitude (expressed in Post #33), say so.

You do know that the government really doesn't save any money during a shutdown.
