[h=1]Army Officer Who Heard Trump’s Ukraine Call Reported Concerns[/h]The top Ukraine expert at the White House will tell impeachment investigators he twice reported concerns about President Trump’s pressure tactics on Ukraine, acting out of a “sense of duty.”

WASHINGTON — A White House national security official who is a decorated Iraq war veteran plans to tell House impeachment investigators on Tuesday that he heard President Trump appeal to Ukraine’s president to investigate one of his leading political rivals, a request the aide considered so damaging to American interests that he reported it to a superior.

Lt. Col. Alexander S. Vindman of the Army, the top Ukraine expert on the National Security Council, twice registered internal objections about how Mr. Trump and his inner circle were treating Ukraine, out of what he called a “sense of duty,” he plans to tell the inquiry, according to a draft of his opening statement obtained by The New York Times.

Well, well..... a man who has first hand knowledge of this scandal. What will Trump and his subordinates come up with to counteract his damaging testimony?

Doesn't sound like there's anything new here. Trump already released the phone transcript.

No, he released an abbreviated version of the 30 minute phone call, the rest of the call transcript is in the secure server.

Colonel Vindman is an active duty military officer. He also has an identical twin brother, Yevgeny, who is a lawyer on the National Security Council. This man's testimony is going to put the final nail in Trump's impeachment coffin.

I wish people would stop floating this lie. We got a memo to the call... the entire transcript is still yet to be seen. And each new witness and testimony is more damning than the last, I have no idea how you could possibly claim there’s nothing new here. I think that’s wishful thinking on your part.

It's further confirmation that Trump committed impeachable offenses, notably abuse of power, in front of witnesses and admitted to it. He did this not just with the Ukraine but also China.

The only question is how can Republican Senators defend this open and shut case of impeachable offenses.

Lt. Col. Alexander S. Vindman is a never Trumper?

Maybe there is more than one call.

What he said has no value as evidence whatsoever. It's just another person with an opinion. The only knowledge he has is his opinion. Opinion is not evidence.

Since he was on the call, he can literally tell what he heard and everyone can make up their decision on whether Trump's action was improper.

No, Trump was just preying on the gullible there. You have no idea what he released. He was likely lying to you as that is his modus operandi, and you got suckered into believing it.

So did joko104 and SLC as well judging by the "Likes".

From the link:

“I am a patriot,” Colonel Vindman plans to tell the investigators, “and it is my sacred duty and honor to advance and defend our country irrespective of party or politics.”

That is not going to sit well with Trump or a lot of his supporters.

The witness is claiming two calls were made by Trump, and he listened to the conversation in real-time. In other words, he was in on the call. I do not know if he was in on one call, or two. He immediately made written complaints to his superiors, and even contacted the legal department in an effort to escalate his complaints. He has written documentation attesting to all.

(the above from Cuomo on CNN)

This witness would seem to kill the GOP "2nd hand" claims.

Any proof that the transcript was not accurate???? Of course all you have is innuendo.

That's a myth -- no fact basis whatsoever.

The fact that the guy is in the military and his brother is a lawyer is irrelevant. He is repeating stuff we already know because we have a transcript that Trump himself released quickly and voluntarily.

Trump released a memo describing his version of the call, and called it a "transcript". It's likely bull****, if Trump is consistent with his previous behaviour.
