Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb announced on Facebook on Wednesday that he had tested positive, likely from attending a campaign event on Saturday.

He says he found out when he was called on Tuesday to meet with President Trump at the White House and was screened for the virus.

Yep, every now & then we get one of these stories.

The sheriff refused to enforce the lockdown, and now he has the disease. But it doesn't stop there. He believe he got it at a political rally! But there's more! He found-out when going to meet with Trump!

Yeah, truth is stranger than fiction. I'd like to call these type of things coincidences. But, I believe they are in effect the result of statistically cumulative risk.

Anybody with me, here?

This guy was a staple on Live PD. Seemed like a good guy; never would have expected him to pull a dumb stunt like that in the middle of the worst pandemic in a century. Casper said it best -- Karma's a bitch.

Yeah, but when you screw with the good, it's kinda' hard to not feel a sense of Karma. Hopefully he recovers, but learns a lesson. I don't want to see anyone seriously injured or hurt. But if someone pays a price for being a jag? Especially if it effects others? Yeah, I'm all for them learning a lesson!

Some people think things through & do what's right. Others don't, and have to learn the hard way. But what makes this especially poignant, is this guy took an oath to enforce the law, and is paid taxpayers' money to do so. He abrogated his oath & duty. So yeah, let him learn the hard way.

So he's asymptomatic then? He actually hasn't been negatively affected by the coronavirus?

Probably quarantined for a couple of weeks. Good for everyone apparently.

No idea. The article is moot on the matter. But if he is asymptomatic, that's the scary part. He's now quarantined while they are doing (apparently extensive) contact tracing.

Lamb said on Wednesday that he'll be self-quarantining for at least the next 14 days and has alerted the Pinal County Public Health Department after testing positive, "and they are working to track all those I came in contact with following the Saturday event."

i hope that this COVIDiot fully recovers, has no lasting effects from the disease, and doesn't infect anyone else.

So far the only article I found (a day or two ago) was from the MN healthcare department. Apparently, the protesters they tested had a very low positive number, around 1% if I recall correctly. Yeah, I was blown away. Maybe I'll post it.
