Blah Blah Blah Partisan Rhetoric and conspiracy theories.......dragonslayer said:There is nothing to give up. I paid into social security every month that I worked. I am not getting a dole, I am only getting what I paid for. I worked from 1960 to the day I retired in 2004. I was never unemployed. Every drop of Social Security that I get, I earned and paid for. Bush wants to use the social security fund that amounts to many billion to pay for his little private war. I say Bu___ Sh_t. to Bush. The financial Crisis comes from Bush War, and him wanting to give give the medicare fund to his corporate buddies.
Tell Bush to get our troops out of Iraq and let the Iraqis fight their civil war which he started. Sadam had that country under control until Bush and the Oil Companies invaded. There were no terrorist from Iraq killing Americans until Bush invaded.

This is unnacceptable. I don't care for Bush but this is just outrageous.

figured you would start that list of favorites you could dig into when someone down the line asked you for a link showing where you condemned someone from the left eh?
just razzin ya man. nicely done.
Trajan Octavian Titus said:Are you willing to give up your social security to end the new deal?
Now I know since I'm younger that this is an easier question for me but for older members of society would you be willing to end this ridiculous plan? I'm sorry it's a damn albatross around the neck of the economy, and the government has no bussiness in wealth redistribution; if I'm broke when i'm old then that's my fault not the next generations I mean shouldn't you have to atleast serve the government before you get entidlements, IE veteran benefits? (no ****ing with them.) I feel if one has sacrificed his blood for America then his treasure should never be spent by Americans (blood and treasure) BTW all of our treasure would be traded for one speck of American blood.

“it seems to me that the best way to deal with this is to say that everyone over 45 will continue to be eligable for SS benifits, but no one else will be. everyone will continue paying taxes into it until all those 45 year olds die. something to that effect at least. I'm not sure what the demographic projections say about how that would be funded.”
“Immediately end SS payments to anyone with a household income of over $100,000.”
“I get so tired of the "the rich can easily afford it so make them pay more" argument.
Whether they can afford it or not is completely irrelevant.”
“Sadam had that country under control until Bush and the Oil Companies invaded. There were no terrorist from Iraq killing Americans until Bush invaded.’
…”If you want the rich to keep paying more and more, they need to get more and more say in how the government is run. say another vote for every 1000 dollars in additional Federal income tax paid”
Iriemon said, “Disagree, how much they can afford it is completely relevant.”

doughgirl said:Yea relevant to the moocher who really doesnt want to work and sits on his arse doing nothing and expecting everything. Blood suckers……..
doughgirl said:So your just screwed if your 44 eh?
So the 44 year old has to pay into something for what could be 30-40 years and they get nothing in return?
doughgirl said:How about sending all the illegal aliens home…..who get benefits and who aren’t even citizens. They are the ones who are helping suck our country dry.
doughgirl said:Punish the wealthy who have also paid into the system? I don’t think so.
doughgirl said:And what happens to all those disabled people who are retarded or have physical problems who cant work?
Trajan Octavian Titus said:Correction "surplus funds," either the government needs to quit overtaxing us or it should use that money to pay down the deficit I am in no way opposed to that.
id be shocked if i ever see any money from SS.
I would be content if they refunded me all of my money I have contributed to my social security
We should stop the SS taxes (but not benefits) immediately, but put younger workers on notice that they'll never receive SS benefits.

What would happen if you ran out of money?

BWG said:Look at the present, Republicans control both branches of Congress and the Presidency and STILL can't get rid of it . If they can't get rid of it with that much control, when will they be able to do it?
The people want it (GWB's little anti SS tour didn't last long, did it?).
BWG said:I have my 401, savings AND SS. I'm happy as well.
(you'd be amazed at what you can figure out what to do with all that EXTRA SS money...LOL)
