Curious, have you read Guns Germs and Steel?firearms and steel swords and armored calvary was not the reason-rather it was small pox? do you know about the conquest of the African king Shaka? he displaced about 25% of sub saharan African populations.
What are you disputing here, specifically? The conquering of N & S America was due to? What in your opinion if not a population decimated by up to 90% by disease. Again you post out of ignorance imagining that all natural and culture influences were equal. They were not. Again, cultures developed technology based on need and available resources. Europeans/Mid east had 10s of thousands of years head start, stemming from moving outward from the Fertile Crescent. Read a book.firearms and steel swords and armored calvary was not the reason-rather it was small pox? do you know about the conquest of the African king Shaka? he displaced about 25% of sub saharan African populations.
Jesus H Christ. What is it with you guys who think white people are the scum of the Earth? In the post middle ages era, the latter half of the 15th century to the 1870s were devoted to wresting the western hemisphere from the indigenous populations by force, primitive and largely bio-warefare, exploiting local divisions, bribery, and by subterfuge; breaking treaties, failure to enforce the law, in the example of the Cherokees. Exploiting local division was not exclusive to the western hemisphere, the result of it on the African continent was a steady supply of "product" for a slave trade that flourished internationally on North American demand for two centuries, ending in the early 19th. All of these offenses were sanctioned, even encouraged by christian beliefs, goals, leadership.
Unfortunately, the rest of the world has not exactly been a model of inclusion, as far as gender and racial equality or respect of indigenous inhabitants not considered civilized.
The dominant white males of the British Colonies did, in control from July, 1776 until April, 1865 achieve unprecedented accomplishments we are both preserved and constrained by, today. In those 89 years, they drafted an historic and enlightened Declaration of Independence, fought successfully against the world's most powerful military, twice between 1776 and 1815, and drafted an historic and enduring compromise, the Constitution of the U.S., and its model protections against government abuses enshrined in its Amendments, and then fought a bloody civil war to correct a defective compromise, slavery, but a bad compromise, along with the senate small states representation, that nonetheless had made that Constitution and the Union, possible in the first place. Slavery was abolished, Lincoln was murdered by those who objected, and the present 155 year ordeal of "more negative than positive", white American male dominance began.
A saving grace, if there is one, is the ability of some white males to not feel too defensive to avoid being self aware, introspective, empathetic, conciliatory, and willing to admit that, by their commitment to keeping everyone else down, cutting off paths and opportunities for everyone else to achieve their full potential, a slight majority of the population was prevented from voting until 1920, and it wasn't given to them even then, they demanded that right, and seized it, with considerable support of less defensive, empathetic, white males.
The U.S. proceeds now into a period of "hissy fit" promising to be much longer, more intense, violent, and damaging to the interests of the whole country, than was showcased by birther movement, as it is looking more and more likely the white male majority is about to be stripped, by the voting majority of political power at a level it may never possess again, that has been wielded malignantly selfishly.

"If we look more closely at it, the gender gap probably deserves another name: It’s the white male gap. Or the white male problem.
Think about what the political map would look like if just white men voted.
We’d have a Senator Roy Moore representing Alabama, where 72 percent of the state’s white male voters (and 63 percent of the white women) cast their ballot for a man who was accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl — and who faced sexual misconduct allegations from multiple other women related to incidents they said occurred when they were underage. (He has denied the accusations.)
We’d likely have a Senator David Duke from Louisiana. The entire U.S. Senate would look far different — with Democratic senators from just a handful of the bluest states. And there would never have been a President Barack Obama...."
Any real debate, IMO should be based entirely on reaching agreement on HOW we should be governed, NOT on WHO a majority will allow to make decisions for us.
Jesus H Christ. What is it with you guys who think white people are the scum of the Earth?
I'm tired of lefties telling me that I have white privilege and should be ashamed of myself.Calm down and re-read what he actually said, not what your imagination is telling you that he said.
I'm tired of lefties telling me that I have white privilege and should be ashamed of myself.
They didnt do it alone. It took other people to right those wrongs and make those propaganda words the founders didnt even practice become a reality. The upper crust (which is what the founders were) could have done it without the slave trade but they didnt, the most lowly worker feeds the most wealthy real estate speculator. This country exists because of white males. Your welcome for modern western civilization.
I don't care what the words are. I'm simply making a statement that I'm sick of the left telling me I have white privilege and should be ashamed of myself. You obviously didn't read what post had to say. Go back and reread the words he actually wrote, not the words that your imagination is telling you he wrote.

Its akin to the whole blame the jews thing. Sometimes its not about the content, but what the message accomplishes. That's a ludicrous rationalization, created in great part by your cult. And you believe it along with the women you seem to assume so stupid back then.
Wow. I cannot believe you really believe that crap...except that you have plainly admitted that husbands were allowed to beat and rape their wives and that that also is "as God ordered." And you dont believe that's "oppression."
And you wonder why I have zero respect for the deliberate, malicious, and avaricious misinterpretation of God's Word by the Catholic cult?
Do you think I have white privilege and should be ashamed of myself? All you care to focus on right now is yourself. You're not ready to read post's post (haha) to read what he said. You're literally afraid to digest it.
Feel free to prove me wrong with your actions. I am not going to hold out hope.
Do you think I have white privilege and should be ashamed of myself?
I mean ever since the enlightenment it was seriously off the rails. Back during the medieval feudal structure of state imposed theocracy under a monarchical system, it was far better
Lol.... back then the underclass couldnt get an education.I mean ever since the enlightenment it was seriously off the rails. Back during the medieval feudal structure of state imposed theocracy under a monarchical system, it was far better
No women in medieval Europe considered themselves oppressed. That is a modernist creation. The very idea of oppression was something invented by upper middle class merchants who were pissed they weren’t of noble blood. The poor and the peasants supported the nobility and women are naturally ordered towards marriage and reproduction which is why left wing women are the least satisfied with life and conservative married women the happiest.
Then when they lost the god excuse, they resorted to the genetic stock argument. The white men make up the history, the rules that cause them to remain in power, then convince everybody that the reality we live in came from some God.
LOL. Yes, you leave me to drown in my white privilege that I should be ashamed of while there are millions of blacks in America who are doing far better than I am. (by the way, good for them. I'm proud of them). I really am. That is what America is all about. And there it is. The baited question.
Go read post's post slowly, with emphasis on thorough comprehension. Then, and only then, I will decide whether to engage in your white narcissism.
Until then, I leave you to drown in it.
I am with you. The op premise is a steaming pile unworthy of even cursory examination.Couldn't understand any of the poll choices so I politely abstain.
I'd love to be able to agree with this. Your sig, however, suggests that your opinion is yet another product of Fantasyland.
Interning the Japanese was justified, so I’m not sure what your point is. If you’re an alien in a country at war with your actual home country you can expect to be detained."Individual's" sig... a quote from William F Buckley. Of course, this is purely coincidental, but I find it interesting. Buckley's father-in-law,
Col. Austin C. Taylor, advocated for and presided over west coast Canadian, Japanese internment.
Father of Patricia Taylor Buckley :

During World War II, Major Taylor was appointed chairman of the British Columbia Security Commission, a provincial government agency created to manage Japanese Canadian internment. As well, he served as one of C.D. Howe's dollar-a-year men.[8] In recognition of his service, Taylor was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire.[9]

Anyway, isn't Obama admitting he miscalculated and in hindsight, the damage to the country and to his family life is as much his fault, owing to his experience influenced belief from serving in both the Illinois and in the U.S. Senate, that it would be possible as POTUS to reach across the aisle and successfully solicit cooperation, as it is the fault of those who, in reaction to Obama's rise, encouraged tea party activism and support of Trump?
I got the impression from his writing that, in hindsight, he would not have leveraged his charisma to pursue and achieve the office of POTUS because the white voting majority was, and isn't ready to accept racially diverse, power sharing. The cost was just too high, now we know where the white voting majority really is, what it is capable of... Trump is not going away.
"Obama .. bluntly suggesting how he believes his historic election in 2008 opened a wave of bitter and divisive turmoil that fueled Republicans’ obstructionism and ultimately changed the party, according to a copy of the book obtained by CNN. ...
Elsewhere in those excerpts, Obama writes that Trump isn’t that different from other Republican leaders, with a key exception.
there wasn’t much difference between Trump and Boehner or McConnell. They, too, understood that it didn’t matter whether what they said was true,” Obama writes in the book. “In fact, the only difference between Trump’s style of politics and theirs was Trump’s lack of inhibition.”
He also reveals that race played a role in his decision to frequently send then-Vice President Joe Biden to Congress as an emissary. .."
You realize most of those people were American citizens, right?Interning the Japanese was justified, so I’m not sure what your point is. If you’re an alien in a country at war with your actual home country you can expect to be detained.
