It is pretty clear that the primary goal of foreign intrusion into our election season is not to swing elections, but to divide Americans of different political, cultural, economic backgrounds. Before the votes are counted in November, think tanks and some Republican office-holders are considering what the GOP should stand for in the post-Trump era.
This introspection is necessary because the Republican Party
currently lacks a positive governing strategy to respond to calls for greater economic opportunity and social justice, as well as addressing climate change.
Today, finance capitalism places too much power in the hands of the corporate, academic and governing elites at the expense of working families.
As Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Florida, observed, “We have become defenders of the rights of business to make a profit, the right of shareholders to receive a return on their investments, and the obligation people have to work. But we have neglected the rights of workers to share in the benefits they create for their employers and the obligation of business to act in the best interest of the workers and the country that have made success possible.”
Seriously, though.... the right has muscled the politics in one direction, to an extreme, and now we are about to experience "snap back" toward
the center right, which is the furthest the PTB in a position to
control the extent of such repositioning will ever permit it to "land".

In fact, in every year since 1970, the majority of Supreme Court justices have been Republican appointees. Since the beginning of Chief Justice Warren Burger’s court until the death of Justice Ruth B. Ginsberg, there have been 17 Republican appointed-justices and 8 Democratic appointed-justices sitting on the Supreme Court.
At no time was there a majority of Democratic justices on the court to write its majority decision. By going to the web link for each of the last three Chief Justices, you can see those numbers.
In addition, the last four Supreme Court chief justices have been politically active Republicans appointed by Republican presidents: ..."
