Many of our far rightwing and unself-identified but obvious MAGA supporting posters routinely make posts in which they communicate accusations of unprovoked personal attacks. Do you believe their feelings of such things are valid and that they have already been victimized or are at significant risk of harm from these brutal and unprovoked personal attacks?​

Nope, not until you start asking questions that aren't based on a dishonest, loaded premise about me. You don't make posts in good faith. Instead, you make flame and bait-posts and try to get a reaction out of people. So, as long as you operate in this fashion, your posts are not worth any more time.

If I see a post from you in which you directly ask me a policy position question instead of jumping to all sorts of conclusions based on the fact that I don't act like a weirdo cheerleader for political parties like many of the posters do here, then perhaps I can be persuaded otherwise. The current post results indicate that 44% of the voters believe that Democrats/liberals are being victimized and suffering serious harm at the hands of the right, MAGA, etc.

This clearly indicates that my question is not based on a strawman/fictional issue. The proof is in the numbers that this is exactly how many people (at least on this forum) feel and that they are not engaging in hyperbole when stating these feelings.

I find it interesting that other posters on the left seem to take issue with the question (and presumably those who have responded "yes") based on their belief that this is all fake. It's difficult to understand how they could declare it to be a fake or strawman issue when so many people have confirmed it to be true....

Dug around some on that SCOTUS ruling, here's what I found.

In his majority opinion, conservative Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh, who was nominated to the high court by President Donald Trump in 2018, wrote that “apparent ethnicity alone cannot furnish reasonable suspicion” but it can be relevant when considered along with other factors.​

This seems to be reasonable, especially when, in the same sentence “apparent ethnicity alone cannot furnish reasonable suspicion”.

So the assertion that "says ICE is free to detain anyone based on their appearance" doesn't appear to align with those statements in the SCOTUS opinion which I've highlighted above. Specifically, ICE can consider 'apparent ethnicity' 'when considered along with other factors.' So, no, ICE cannot JUST consider ethnicity.

Further, Justice Sotomayor's assertion that: “We should not have to live in a country where the government can seize anyone who looks Latino, speaks Spanish and appears to work a low wage job,” doesn't appear to align with the above highlighted statements of the majority opinion either.

My conclusion from your post, and the minority opinion, is that there's a lot of purposeful distortion of what the majority opinion actually stated.
