Built my first AR15 5.56 in May.
My son and I are building his AR15 5.56 this week.
We will be building my second 5.56 AR15 around Christmas from extra parts
We are also scheduling a Spring build of an AR15 7.62 x 39
Certainly more to come.

Love the freedoms in the USA.

Good source for complete guns and assembled uppers www.bearcreekarsenal.com
Good parts source www.OpticsPlanet.com

It's a good hobby and a fine father/son bonding experience.

Agreed. Looking forward to this build.
Thanks for taking the time to post stupid ****ing shit.

Advertising for DIY guns in a gun control forum. :(

Doesn't the gun industry have a forum for you hobbyists to connect?

The forum is called "Guns and Gun Control." Someone finally realized that the gun control discussion was getting mighty stale. After the 100th time one points out how absurd it is to ban rifles because they have pistol grips, with no meaningful counterargument, the conversation gets a little boring.

???

You think having a good hobby and engaging in father/son bonding experiences is "stupid ****ing shit"?

So be it.

You are dismissed.

Absolutely deplorable post.

Yeah, God forbid they did something constructive like got out in the yard and played soccer.
Building stuff is constructive.

Some fathers and their children have a good time building/restoring cars. My sons and I had fun building computers.

And nobody said those families can't/won't go outside and do stuff together. My sons and I did a lot of fishing, hiking and orienteering, too.

And the OP is turning it into a hobby forum. Perhaps it would be better off in a blog?

Does get stale when you have to advertise for suppliers of mail order weapons.

Meaningless claim with no supporting argument. Boring! :D ☮️

all good stuff although I will never understand how someone can go fishing. I'd lose my mind doing nothing that long.

As to building lethal hand held machines designed to tear though living flesh for the purpose of slaughter and so often targeted toward school children, that is a very unhealthy and frankly antisocial behavior.

My experience with my father and vehicles was never a good one. It usually involved me handing him tools while he continually cursed under his breath trying to fix the transmission. I found out quickly that you would be wise not to say anything under such circumstances, unless you wanted your head bitten off. So not much of a "bonding" experience. Hunting, fishing, and camping was another story however.

The trick to a good father/son bonding experience is to find something that both enjoy. (y)

Our illustrious governor and his boot lickers in Springfield mean to pass an assault weapon ban prior to the first of the year. Those who already own them, can keep them but there will be no more sales except to FFLs. The legislation requires that any legally owned firearms classified as assault weapons, be registered within 100 days of the legislation becoming law. Magazines over 15 rounds (I believe) will be prohibited.

Good.

Do you like the part about the legally owned firearms being required to be registered; or the part about the illegally possessed firearms not being subject to that requirement?

And yes, the plaintiffs in the several lawsuits already in the works, do actually view this overreach as a good thing.

Apologies.
The second comment was for that jerk’s nasty comment, not you.
I suppose I should be undismissed. 😁

You aren't any more familiar with fishing, than you are with the shooting sports.

Correct although I have certainly been forced, encouraged, to do both as a youth.

Why waste the time when the world holds so many interesting alternatives?
