Then you don't read the fineprint of these laws.I didnt read the article. Voter id laws are just common sense.
I didnt read the article. Voter id laws are just common sense. There isnt one legit reason not to have one. It only makes the election more secure against voter fraud.
Then it shouldn't be too much to ask that a high-info voter like yourself fill us dummies in.Then you don't read the fineprint of these laws.
I would expect that from a low-info voter .
You do realize that the SCOTUS has already upheld a near identical law in Indiana
Sure, why not. We are $17,500,000,000,000 in debt. Whatever amount this would cost is insignificant next to that stack. Plus if these voting rights are as sacred as the left believes they are, then removing ANY chance of voter fraud should be at the top of the leftist list. Yet its not even on the list. Besides, liberals are spending hundreds of millions of dollars on this years election. If getting people IDs so they can vote for your leftist allies is that important, you guys should pay for it.Good, no problem. Then the taxpayers won't mind paying whatever is necessary to ensure that all eligible voters obtain the necessary ID's without discriminating against certain minorities or groups of citizens.
That might entail providing transportation to the elderly to a county election office to get their IDs. That might also include helping them getting a copy of their SS cards or birth certificates needed to get a State Photo ID.
That work for you?
Then it shouldn't be too much to ask that a high-info voter like yourself fill us dummies in.
Begun with Reagan deficits of 400+ billion in 1983--as Sen. Dole has said his greatest mistake with tax cuts.Sure, why not. We are $17,500,000,000,000 in debt.
The very conservative Appeals Court Justice in the Wisconsin case has already knocked this down in his dissenting opinion.Plus if these voting rights are as sacred as the left believes they are,

How much do you think that 400+ Billion is in today's dollars Fletch ?
The key words in yer statement are "near identical".
The Indiana law is constitutional because it is not nearly identical to the 21st century Jim Crow Texas law.
Gov. Pence of Indiana is one of the few GOP governors with any credibility.
Another one is Gov. Sandoval of Nevada .
Good, no problem. Then the taxpayers won't mind paying whatever is necessary to ensure that all eligible voters obtain the necessary ID's without discriminating against certain minorities or groups of citizens.

The g doesnt transport them to vote, ergo the g will not transport them to get their id.
Some things people just have to do themselves. It builds character. How can that be bad?
And what minorities would be discriminated against? How so?
How is a Texas voter ID law like jim crow and an Indiana law not?
Of course not--but you already knew that.17 trillion is 42 times larger than 400 billion. Are you suggesting that 400 billion in 1983 is the equivalent of 17 trillion?
Since Texas law isn't like Indiana law, you would be engaging in false-equivalency .
I wonder if just once you could respond to a post and not just go off on some 'yeah, but republicans are worse' screed.Begun with Reagan deficits of 400+ billion in 1983--as Sen. Dole has said his greatest mistake with tax cuts.
How much do you think that 400+ Billion is in today's dollars Fletch ?
Yes, but republicans are stupid and always wrong, so this judges opinion in Wisconsin is stupid and wrong because he is a republican. The very conservative Appeals Court Justice in the Wisconsin case has already knocked this down in his dissenting opinion.
The very same dissenting opinion that the SCOTUS used to knock down the Wisconsin law after the Appeals Court.
A GOP SCOTUS .
Since Texas law isn't like Indiana law, you would be engaging in false-equivalency .
We already ask for certain forms of ID at the polling booth, do you have any hardcore numbers to prove that that is necessary? The truth is, I don't know if there is fraud or not. But the potential is there for someone to claim he is someone else and cast a vote. You cannot deny that in the absence of a photo ID this is certainly a possibility. Requiring a photo ID and a proper registration at the poll is a very rational standard for voting. There is no rational reason to oppose it.b
You have any hardcore numbers to prove that voter fraud is so significant that it is a threat to our form of government? Who is doing it? How are they doing it?
I don't know what that has to do with anything I said.Hey, we live in the United States of America where crooks and cons fill our government. But that doesn't seem to be a problem. Are voter IDs necessary to keep the crooks and cons in office?
No. Are you related to NIMBY? I ask because I wasn't making a partisan statement about WHO was responsible for the debt."YOUR LEFTIST ALLIES....LIBERALS SPENDING". Are you related to Navy Pride?
Yet you both read it that way.By the way, can you prove that the right has grown government less than the left? I suggest it's been more, but I'm sure you'll deny it.
Oh, how do you think the $17.5 Trillion came to be? You're gonna hate the search results.
How many liberals in Texas vote more than once?
It might be a bunch of conservatives having to vote more than once...in order to win? Well, nawwwh, that's not how it works. Conservatives do much better at gerrymandering to win election.
Carry on Sailor....

I see that you're true to the juice (kool-aid). Drink neighbor, drink.
Your uninformed antics aren't really challenging or witty enough to wanna continue to play with you.
You don't mind me not playing do ya?
Under President Reagan our economy was the greatest in the history of this country.
