(AP) Jerry quits Ben & Jerry’s, saying its independence on social issues has been stifled

Apparently Jerry, of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, will not bow down to today's intensely growing cancel culture. He's leaving the ice cream business he founded 47 years ago, due to freedom-of-speech suppression from his company's parent company - Unilever.
Who would have thought selling out to a multi national corporation for hundreds of millions of dollars would be bad thing?

Welcome to Trump's America.

This is just how it wants things
He's such a loser.

Her can't even control this British corporation. What the ****?

Leftist nutter.

They should name one of their ice creams that.

For naming ice cream after a few people?

It's ice cream.
If you dislike the message then just don't buy it.

Apparently Jerry is upset that Cancel Culture is no longer solely a tool of the Left.

What I said was true. That leftist Jerry comes out today upset at the effects of cancel culture is simply hilarious. He was all for cancel culture as long as he and his leftist lice farmers were controlling it.

You mean the owners of the company won’t let him say whatever he wants to? Shocking. Maybe he should have thought of that before sold out.

Apparently, if I understand the article correctly, Ben & Jerry do have a ryder agreement in their contract to this effect. But, it's been constant court battles to effect it. It seems the two sides have been battling it out in court, for years.
