Long Island Iced Tea

Long Island Iced Tea
Thanks, I ended up getting out of bed again and taking a Benedryl, I did go to sleep, but it didn't seem to help the itching. With all the fireworks, and the dog unsettled, it was not a good night, at least I don't see any fire damage from my window. I used to take a jar of meat tenerizer camping, in case of a bad bee sting, never used it, I think I threw it out. I didn't know Benedryl had a cream, may try that, I did consider cutting the softgel and smearing that on my, but assumed it was oily and didn't want to stain my sheets. My husband is a mosquito magnet. He’s had luck with applying neem salve right after the bite. The brand we use is neemaura naturals.
I don’t think it will work well on old bites. Have tried Benadryl cream or taking a Benadryl? The pill will make you sleepy.
Thanks, I'll need to get some.I've found Benadryl Cream works in just minutes.
Will distract you from the itching for sure.Long Island Iced Tea
I agree. Even the Avon Skin So Soft bath oil (just a little or you'll smell like a perfume factory) is helpful but the Skin So Soft bug guard is the most effective IMO.In case you didn’t know - you can also give Benadryl to a dog if they are reacting to bites.
Just make sure you check dosage for their weight.
BEST bug spray I’ve ever used to prevent bites is Avon Skin So Soft.

Chamomile can be an effective natural remedy for soothing mosquito bites due to its anti-inflammatory properties. Applying a cool, damp chamomile tea bag or a chamomile-infused compress can help reduce itching and swellingThey are bad this year, but I don't want to use bug dope, when I used the intense oily stuff like Deet when in Canada and Alaska, it still did not stop the biting, and I was covered in chemicals.
Now, I've been scratching again, my pup is more jumpy about the fireworks this year than he was as a young puppy. I just rushed him out the back door, because he was looking excited, and I didn't want any accidents in the house. It's within the last hour when he gets his last potty break, but I've been going out with him this past week. Also been some raccoons around that may be spooking him.
Anyway, now I'm scratching the hell out of both of my arms instead of one. I've been trying cortisone cream, calamine lotion, rubbing alcohol, lavender oil, O'Keef's working hands cream, etc., etc.
I go though this every year, I will put on a long sleeve shirt when I take him out again before bed, but it's way too hot to wear that all day. They are in the sun and shade, we've had little wind to blow them away. There are ways to keep them away to a degree......but I just want to stop this itching. Any true blue instant remedies?
Glad you got relief!I ordered the Benadryl Extra Strength gel in a tube from Amazon, same day delivery. It works very well compared to everything else I've been using for years.
Thanks to @Stealers Wheel and @BirdinHand for the advice.![]()
Me too, it was driving me nuts. My right arm has like a reddish mark that looks like a rug burn, but it's just from scratching non-stop. That first night before I ordered the topical, I took a Benadryl by mouth as you suggested before bed, I was scratching both arms in the bed, it did help.Glad you got relief!

That may help keep the bugs away, but if they bite, and they will, I doubt it would stop the itching.Eat more garlic.
