I live in Georgia. I applied for my absentee ballot on August 28th. It was received and accepted according to the state website. I still have not received my ballot. So I've tried multiple time today to call my counties voter registration place and got no answer. No recording, no message, no nothing, just rings and rings and finally disconnects.

In the mail today I got a letter from a group called VoteForward, a nonprofit organization established to help voters who are having problems. I called them and explained my issue.

While I waited, they tried to call my local voter registration office, and their call went though. Imagine that, a call from an out of area prefix other than our local prefixes was answered...Vote Forward told me they were located in North Carolina. The call was on speaker so I could hear it all. VoteForward gave them my full name, birthdate, and voter registration number, and asked when I would receive my absentee ballot, and according to them I should have gotten it by now, but if I still have not received it by 10-25, to call back.

Vote Forward told them if my ballot was not received by 10-25, they would be reporting my local registration office to the state and federal government.

I would like to share VoteForward number for anyone else having trouble. Their number is 866-687-8683. They can be reached at votefwd.org/vote. Hope this helps others having problems.

Who controls your county?

I mean, you apply your broad brush in your thread title and imply that anyone, living in any state that is controlled by Republicans can have the same thing happen to them that happened to you.

I suggest you replace your broad brush in favor of a very fine brush that only paints the officials in your county.

We’d love to consider your advice but we’re all still waiting for you to share your incontrovertible proof of 2020 election fraud. Until you finally get around to sharing it, any “advice” you dispense will be considered faulty and false.

I wasn't requesting an out of state ballot. I was requesting an in-state ballot. Read before you post.
no, i was responding to mycroft, I used your post to show what mycroft had read, I don't know why he even thought giving county officials grief on a state ballot issue was an answer.

Sorry, I'm one of those fortunate enough to never see that one's ridiculous drivel...by choice. 😁

Maybe GA is different, but in most states elections are handled on a county level. Plus, Jessie said she called her "counties voter registration place". And that was where she had the lack of phone answering issues. And then that other organization who was able to get her some information called "my local voter registration office", which implies it was at the county level.

So...that's why I pointed to the issue being a county issue.

I don't know...perhaps I'm wrong. I'm only going by what Jessie has posted in her OP. She can correct me and clarify the issue if I am wrong.

Savage.

I'll tell you what pheonix2020, I'm in complete awe of any of you with the intestinal fortitude to even address certain "players" on this board...you have my ultimate respect!

Likely a part of Georgia's voter disenfranchisement methods. Be ready to vote in-person, early or on election day, if you don't get your absentee ballot soon.

I agree, something definitely fishy going on. If I haven't received my absentee ballot within a week, I'll call VoteForward back and let them report this county to the powers that be, then drive the 1/4 mile to my voting place and just do it. I'm afraid for others here who requested absentee ballots and may never receive them and may not be able to get out and vote. Damn shame.

Sad part is she's out of commission! She has had an accident and can barely walk right now! 😞 Hell of a week!!

Gosh @Jessie C , this is the last shit you need right now!! I bet this is happening to others.
I know right? This almost has to be happening to others- that's why I gave the phone number/web address to this site. When they told my counties officials who they were and that they would be reported, the woman giggled and said "Oh we don't want that now!" I went on VoteForward's site and they do have an office on Pennsylvania Ave. in DC; seems like they're the real deal.

I couldn't do it tomorrow, but a week from now I will do it back brace, walker, and all if I have to. It's going to take more than a broken vertebra and a bunch of broken ribs to stop me from voting this cycle! I never thought of my county as being red, but the portion of the county that handles voter registration is definitely red, so I shloudn't be surprised.

Yeah, you have a good reason for being concerned!! Ugh, a back brace!!! Poor thing!! I know you'll get that vote in even if it kills ya!
Check out what this sheriff did, they're going to be people out there doing some interference for sure!! I don't trust anyone this election cycle!

Pro-Trump sheriff who tracked people with Kamala yard signs gets what he DESERVES

Glad you're letting us know!! All this shit needs attention! This is a crazy time!
