It is disturbing how readily humans are willing to give up their way of life out of fear instigated by the Goebbels in the media, in the DNC and even in the medical community.

What would people do if they knew that sneezes were an extremely minor method of transmission of COVID and that 99% of COVID was transmitted right rough the infected persons mask and right through theirs? What if they were told that truth by media and other people "in authority"?

Instead of 250,000 people dead, maybe we would have half that because people would them know that if they are elderly or FAT or ave medical conditions, they would stay home or away from others.

Instead, they believed the lies and still do and still wear the placebo. I wonder if this is how Hitler was able to get people on the trains?

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Hopefully I won’t have to explain it to you. It’s really pretty clear.

I thought that it was odd that he turned to show that he was packing. But, he didn't pull it out of the holster, so no harm, no foul. Mine's concealed. I've had people pull a gun and hold it on me like we were on a TV show. I never flash mine. I don't want to shoot anyone. It's kind of a prerequisite for carrying concealed. Anyone who sees my gun is looking at the last thing that they'll ever see.

I don't know what you think you see in that video, but what I see are a group of store employees pursuing and attacking a customer(s) and then the customer defending himself. This is what happens when someone makes a policy and then hands it over to the tiny brained "mall cop" mentality to enforce that policy. Should the customers wear masks inside a retail store which requires that? Yes, I agree they should; they can not expect to be served if they are unwilling to follow the policy. But when those tiny brained store employees decided to escalate the matter by using physical intimidation then it goes where it ends up. A better way to handle that is to inform the customer of the policy, ask them to comply, and if they refuse to comply let them know they will not be served--- they won't be allowed to make a purchase-- so then they are just wasting their own time. And if the customer then says they won't comply and won't leave when asked to----they are now trespassing and you can call the police to possibly make an arrest.

At question should be how is surrounding the mask violator and getting close to them a good idea anyway? Especially if they are so concerned about infections? The customer will say (through his lawyer) that the store employee was intimidating him, not social distancing, made him feel at risk of being attacked-- possibly even racially profiling him. But there is more to this; if in the fracas that ensues the customer is injured and he hires a lawyer, right or wrong, that wll cost the retail store--- so why not find another way to handle it?

Store security guards are not generally bright people, and what often drives their thinking is pure testosterone. Roll up on another person with more testosterone--- and it could become a fight. And over what? A lack of a paper mask?

Some people act is if not wearing a mask is equal sloshing buckets of nuclear waste on nearby people. A clear overreaction to something which may not even be dangerous.

You are confused:

You shoud know that retail stores are private places and many have enforced rules for decades requiring things like wearring shoes and prohibiting entering the store half-naked.
What you seee is a result of a manufacturing and irrational rage against wearing masks because some people chose to politicize the adoption of measures that help mitigate a pandemic.

And there is no doubt that attacks on employees by anti-mask customers has been a serious issue natonwide


You can easiy find many videos with cameras in retail stores recording assaults on employees and charges filed aganst violent customers

Your point does not make sense

Nobody argues that wearing a mask provides an absolute protection. Everything is a matter of probabilities nd the big picture.

It is like trying to use cases of smokers dying after they reached an age above the average to claim that a choice to smoke is not harmful or reversely that a choice of non-smoking is not beneficial

Your premise above is wrong. Wearing a mask is not a 100% guarantee of protection from COVID. Only an efficacious vaccine can offer such protection.

However, wearing a mask significantly decreases your risk and increases the protection of those you come into contact with.

Ask Gov. Chris Christie now about the benefits of wearing a mask.

In the case of this OP, the rights of the Jewish guy would be protected IF the mask mandate gives exceptions for religious causes. The rights discussion came about through a side tangent surrounding churches being closed.

By the way....does anyone know if the mask mandate has this exception? I suppose that's an appropriate question to ask in this dumpster fire of a thread...

Government actions are right just because the government does it. They have to be Constitutional as well. Infringing on anyone’s right to assemble or worship is unconstitutional. It’s funny, when it’s BLM protesting, you guys are all about their first amendment rights.

Here is the actual NYC mask mandate, for anyone interested. In skimming I could find no exception to be made for religious reasons...looks like we're different up here that way.
