trying to do a 'lasso' but my mouse doesn't apply any pressure so nothing comes from it....any advice? This isn't the only time I try to follow along to find the mouse is not capable of doing the thing the person used a pen for. I am not getting a graphics tablet, just wondering is there anything?

I love Bender!

You are way ahead of me. I was all about kitchen appliances.
My excuse, I am looking for a good blender.
(y)

I made a strawberry smoothie with mine earlier. I use it almost everyday.

Dog food, poor Sweetie had almost all her teeth pulled.
Hummus.
Smoothies with home made yoghurt.
Stuff.

I used blender to make items for my 3D printer. The learning curve is tremendous. Maybe if I was younger and far more dedicated and focused I could become proficient. I now just find ready-made 3D models on the Internet and maybe modify them a bit.

What is Blender? Is that like "Steam" or "Tops"? I can't keep up with any of that shit. Then again that's not my world.....

You mean lasso select? Press t to bring up the toolbar and at the top should be a select icon. If it is on box select you should be able to either click and hold or right click to bring up a context menu where you can choose lasso select.

I did stuff like that. What I am saying is that my mouse doesn't have 'pressure' that when I use some of the things, they don't appear to be working as well as they ought to be, Any way to fix that? I changed the toolbar settings and nothing.

You can also use the w key to cycle through the select options until you get to lasso select.

I'm not sure what you mean about "pressure." Lasso select either selects things or doesn't. It doesn't have analog brush settings like width or opacity that you would use a pen and tablet for. You just click and drag and then everything within the lasso area gets selected.

If you mean that applying pressure on the mouse button doesn't do anything, then it sounds like maybe your mouse is broken and you need a new mouse.
