"As antiabortion advocates launch legal efforts to stop abortion pills from reaching women in states with bans, they are increasingly turning to one group with uniquely intimate and specific information to help them find cases: male sex partners of women who decided to end their pregnancies.

The strategy propelled a first-of-its-kind lawsuit filed last month by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton that cited first-hand information from an unnamed “biological father” to accuse a New York doctor of illegally providing abortion pills to a woman in the Dallas area, according to two people familiar with the case’s origins.

The case was inspired by a report Paxton’s office received from the man and emerged as part of a broader abortion law enforcement operation the attorney general has quietly created that includes searching for potential plaintiffs, said the two people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe private conversations."

This is a serious **** you to women. We'll sic your partner on you. And he's bigger, stronger and more pissed off than you, in fact, pissed off AT you. We all know this doesn't always go well.

How can they keep women from driving to other states tho? Yes, they can punish their accomplices (in TX) but what are the charges, if any, for the women? What are the lawsuits based on?

Paywall, if the answers were there, I couldnt access them.

Isn't there some sort of law that you can't be accused by anonymous persons, you have to know who is accusing you of a crime.

Seems like this strategy is going to hinder relationships between partners and spouses.

Women in Texas should think twice or more on whether to get into sexual relationships with Texas "men".

No kidding. What a nightmare.

These are truly sick people.

If you believe abortion is wrong then you should be reporting it 🤷

A man who reports their partner because they has an abortion is just petty and vindictive.

Christians are really trying to convince us that the god who murdered Bathsheba's newborn, killed all the firstborn sons of Egypt, sent bears to murder little children, and commanded Joshua to kill all the children in Jericho, now suddenly cares about unborn babies?

They make excuses for god because God always seems to get a free pass.

These people are ultimately going to have an effect they don't want. When Dobbs came down, huge numbers of women swore off hook up culture and online dating. The rate of searches for tubal ligations on line went up, and the rate of tubal ligations increased. The Korean feminist movement branch that promulgated no dating, no sex, no marriage, no babies saw an increase of online interest. Some women decided on at least temporary celibacy while they considered their options. Soon, they could decide that men are too dangerous to have sex with. Finally, they'll look for schools and jobs in other states. Yippy kayay!

You see God only cares about unborn babies. He really does not give one shit about babies that have been born.

I can hardly believe that some women slept with guys who would be willing to report their abortions. It's unhygienic.
