Except for speech that is violent or encouraging violence, speech that is defamatory all other speech which is already illegal, we should be free to say whatever we want, even if it's rude, mean or hostile.

It allows for people to bring into the "light" how awful some people's thoughts are & where they can be challenged. If you can't challenge an opinion, how is it we go forward in society? Thoughts & Ideas are the very reason we've evolved & even if we disagree, we can kind of "hack it out" (for lack of better terms which elude me right now) & talk about it to find what is real, what is true & what isn't.

Feelings aren't enough to cancel anyone because they belong to the person who has them and can only be controlled by them. It is not up to the person who stated or printed his opinion/thoughts to abide by someone else's "feelings" because they want to cancel them. Feelings are personal & should remain personal! If one "feels" insulted, that's on them. They can explain those feelings & why they feel that way but in no way should this person EVER have the authority to cancel someone because of them. That's just foolishness!!

I'm hoping I'm explaining myself properly. To sum it up: illegal postings/writings should be cancelled; everything else should be ok even if it's rude & mean. That's it.
