Now they are stifling free speech that says negative things about the actions of the Trump government or Trump himself, certainly violating the 1st Amendment. Nothing has been done by Congress nor by the Executive Branch to "stifle free speech".

In March 2025, Donald issued a series of executive orders aimed at law firms who backed legal actions againt him, alleging unethical conduct ( disagreeing with and/or litigation against donald) and imposing severe sanctions. These actions included revoking security clearances, terminating government contracts, and restricting access to federal buildings. All at the bequest of Trump for no crimes, just donalds childish revenge.

In the spring of 2025, Donald launched a campaign of executive actions and public threats aimed at elite academic institutions—including Harvard, Columbia, and the University of Pennsylvania—accusing them of harboring antisemitism and promoting "anti-American" values. For donald, any institution or individual that openly disagrees with his agenda, is "anti-American ".

Hes stripped power from independent regulatory agencies.

He froze federal grant funding already legally issued by Congress.

He attempted to end birthright citizenship ( a constitutional right) by executive order.

He rolled back healthcare regulations set by Congress.

He rescinded Executive Order 14087, which was designed to lower prescription drug costs for Medicare and Medicaid recipients.

He withdrew the U.S. from the World Health Organization.

He dismantled the Department of education.

He rolled back EPA regulations.

Hes been using the full power of the U.S. government to attack Comedians, News organizations, Universities, Networks, journalists, political opponents, career civil servants, any and all dissent and/or protests.

He has used his power against his foes like no other president in the history of America. Saying he "is" the law, as if he were king. Saying hes "not sure" if he needs to uphold the Constitution which he clearly does not abide by.

So harassing AMerican citizens and throwing them in jail while being masked without identification isn't thuggery, really. Even you Mycroft ought to see what is wrong with that. ANd the law is called the Posse Comitatis act, which is supposed to keep the military from acting as policemen. And now we haave Trump and the head of the FCC saying they are going to end the careers of the people and their stations or networks licenses for saying bad things about Trump. At the same time the congress that is controlled by the GOP stand by and do nothing as they are spineless ass kissers afraid of Trump. And do not be too sure about free and fair elections which will either just be skipped or gerrymandered out of existence.
